I still really love this figure. Definitely in my top 5 SS figures! Went to a sculpture garden today called Art OMI in upstate NY and had to bring him along.

I started with the basics by self-teaching but then took Japanese classes then I lived there. I used to be good but now I’m rusty. And thanks for the complement on my Bee! I feel that the upgrade parts from the blackout/sentinel/bee set feel a bit useless on their own but as a “bulked up” Bee ready for war they make more sense. I also gave him the miniguns meant for Blackout. And you’re right, I’ll probably get the damn Challenger. Damn my weakness!

Dude tonton is a horrible reviewer. He gets views when he gets a figure early, that’s all.

I think that Bee looks completely badass on his own, just with the paint apps you added! I actually wanna go paint mine up now!!

I agree 100% with this! The only reason I watch his vids is to get a good look at that figs without having to wait months on end.

On a separate note, did you sell your Cliffjumper by any chance?

 

I hope Hasbro ships out SS Blitzwing and Cliffjumper again.

Those seem to have gotten short packed.

No sites have them in stock, not even Hasbro Pulse, despite being relatively “new” releases.

Great sculpts that really need paint to bring out their details

 

I try to stay away from TonTon's videos at all costs. It's clear that he steals his toys from the factories and I just can't support a thief. And besides, if the problem gets too severe Hasbro may have to layoff employees and that's never a good thing.

 

Really impressed with MPM Barricade. My copy has tight joints all around, no problem posing at all. Only real gripe really is the lack of Frenzy.

 

I meant BB movie Prime, the figure is pretty cool, but weirdly inaccurate, the other movie primes are ok I guess, but we need a better version of BB OP, probably a Cybertron version that doesn't compromise alt mode cause it hasn't to transform into anything we saw, ala Shockwave

Crazy! A terrific toy of one of the, in my opinion, coolest character designs in the movies. No clue why he shelfwarmed so bad.

 

He didn't show up here originally when he was first released, however for this holiday season though it seems local distributor got a crap ton of Chinese overstock that was dumped into toy stores. The price has been steadily decreasing - when I got mine last month it was 900 PHP. Now they're selling him for 400 php (!)
We also got a whole bunch of wave 1 Ratchets too, also at a deep discount, and again chinese overstock.

 

There's enough hate in those boxes to run the whole world

 

They've been deep discounted here in Japan for ages as well. It's ridiculous! XD

 

what panel lining? I did a repaint.. no panellines just yet, all I did was remove all the stripings and decals so I could add my own set once he was painted.. maybe the panellining is the residue of that.. I will panelline him trough, once he is done.

only to melt him down and make him just like he was.. only better in every way...

I am halfway trough the robotmode, I did the metal base, some of the gunmetal and black parts and the red line on his arms.
for the pics I added a (temporary) red line on the fenders, It is a sticker to see how wide it should be.
Next up will be the aluminium, titanium, bronze, gold and steel colors to bring out the details and then ill go into altmode and fix up the carmode to be fully accurate.
there is so much detail that makes him so much better once paint has been added!
I am also thinking ill do a windowtint on him but well see about that once he is together.
he needs a little more paint in botmode to bring out all the details (I based it mostly on moviestills from ROTF and on the prime one statue,
excited to see himhave blue and red wires to bring out just a little more detail and oomph to a green and gunmetal beast ;-)

Yeah bro 2.5 years there! It’s a fun place to live. Only reason I came back was cause I was sick of teaching English and it’s really hard to get any other job there. And I was there when rotf came out so I got to see the movie 2 weeks before the US AND for the only time ever Japan got the toys first too! Was a really cool time to be there for a TF fan.

Haven’t sold my SS cliffjumper yet. Why, you want him?

 

I’m going to get the inevitable Skywarp and just fudge him in with my Siege seekers. Never got my hands on an actual Siege Skywarp, sigh.

SS-44 has much better paint, including silver windows in both modes and the orange on the hood. Without it, 32 looks plain and isn’t as accurate. Plus 44 has changed up a couple parts so they don’t pop off easily.
