In retrospect it seems odd that a helicopter alt mode wasn't chosen for her to begin with. It makes for less kibble and a more lithe robot form.

I know it's been labeled as Nightbeat already, but damn you're right it looks dead-to-rights like an AoE Drift. Couldn't be coincidental-- perhaps Spino has effectively combined the two characters?

 

He drew a dedicated Drift a while back in IDW colors, it was just so long ago that I forgot the details and assumed Drift

 

It’s fitting with his other designs like Primal and Megatron. They look a lot like other characters except they’re not.

I’m falling in love with Spino. I’m no fan of Gobots, but I tend to like helicopter transformers, and I absolutely love this redesign of Coptur. Boy, do I hope this line is financially successful and they can keep producing figures from his designs!

 

The single eye and claw hands would also make him a good Whirl.

 

I love his story explanation of the gobots being a human knockoff like KSI from AoE

 

It even works as a little wink to the gobots not actually being fully mechanical lifeforms as opposed to cybertronians.

Poggers Spino is at it again with these amazing designs, but this time with gobots. I am not a fan of gobots nor have I ever watched the show, but oh boy do I love this. Also I'm wondering how will he go with bug bite, will his design be fully based on his og design, or will he have something from his transformers version?

 

Interesting how he looks a lot like Whirl. But I love me some gobots so this is really cool.
