That reminds me, whatever toy company is making marvel and DC figures, thanks for giving Superman that sorely need Jet Plane and Spiderman that Scuba Gear.... cause, you know. Hoping someone adds roller skates to an Ironman figure and makes a tie dye War Machine.

I also grew Up with G1. But People should get rid of that mind sick obsession.

For example, I watched the Bayverse Movies because of the CGI and Violence.
I even read somewhere, that some Parents were shocked about the Intense Violence through all Movies. I loved it.

This Superion Design here is Perfect. If Geeewuners want G1, just purchase War for Cybertron Toys.
The Market is flooded with these.

I am totally against G1, but I would prefer if DST Releases him in G1 Colors fast.
Silver Color is looking good, but this time I would also admit the Planes need some Color.

Burnt out on G1 Stunticons, yes! Lol! Looking forward to these and any other figures DST does in this aesthetic!

 

It would be difficult, because there is not enough mass on the cars, most of the work will have to be done by Motormaster. Maybe a 6 member team of Stunticons will suffice... The sixth member should be a smaller truck.

Personally, I would love to see a Liokaiser from them, and the good thing is that the only extra combiner bits will be the combined mode hands.

I put my Pre Order Deposit
at ShowZStore because I thought he would be Released in his Traditional Colors first.

I want some Clarification from DST.

- Which Version will be Released first?
- Would it not be better to add something like "Chrome" or the Color Scheme to their Product Name?
- People could be confused when Pre Order

Like: there will be a G1 Color also...
which Version did I Pre Order.

In this Case I really Demand an Answer from DST. Clarification.

WHEN to they Release
the Chrome Version
WHEN do they want to Release the G1 Color Version.

A simple "Soon" is not enough for me.
...since the word "soon" can also mean
Release in 3 Years (Looking at Toyworld)

So Pre Order needs to be done, because things are sold out so fast...only because People can not control their Greed.

 

Is it me or is someone jumping the gun with such little info that we have?

- The only version we've seen is the chrome. The G1 colored one was a digibash, and there has been no official word of such also being made.

- ShowZ puts up pre-orders WAY early just because they can. They're absolutely not a measure of something being imminent.

May 2021. That's all we know for a release date, and that's when we'll likely get at least the first member. Still feel free to put your deposit in now, but be ready to sit pretty for a good while.

 

They have confirmed G1 Colors in Chat.
They said "sooner or later"

I would prefer if they speed up their
"sooner" a little bit. Do not want to wait 3 Years for a Repaint.

This is a confirmation, that there will be more than 1 color Variation.

But they really should reconsider to Release G1 Colors first, or if possible with a Release close to each other. Other 3P Comps always do that.
Normally it does only take
a few Months to do the Repaint and push it out fast, after the Original Release.

By that, I expect the Chrome to still come out first. Though it would be outlandish for a 3 year wait. I'd say 2 at most, though 1 would make perfect sense.

 

-SHRUG- ... I actually like that Devastator. Its too simplistic to go on my MP shelf, and I wouldn't be paying FT level prices for it, but it's a pretty cool representation of the character as seen in the original cartoons, and that is where 100% of my nostalgia and love for the brand comes from. G1 Toys? meh. Marvel comics? nah. But that 80's cartoon is what Transformers will always be about for me.
It's no different to my eye than a Batman Animated Series figurine. Yes, there are hyper-realistic Batman toys, and no we don't think Batman was meant to actually "look like that" in the cartoon, but that's how he was represented and that's how many fans want to see him portrayed on their shelves.

If I had the space and the money, I could actually see my self having another collection of figures done in this kind of Hyper-toon style as an awesome "mainlining pure nostalgia for that ultimate G1 fix" kind of scenario.
I personally have no interest in Dream Star's figure because it prompts no nostalgia or interest for me, but I'm happy for everyone who does like it and wants to get it.

I agree, there is a place for figures like this simplistic Devastator. My point is, that I am very much looking forward to truly updated versions of my beloved childhood toys, like Hot Toys Ironman.

Looking through the comments, if Dreamstar abided by every Geewuner recommendation, you'd end up with almost a copy of Zeta's and Fantoys Superion. There are already 2 like that, leave Dreamstar's as is  

The combiner market has been completely saturated with "make it as G1 as possible, make it look like a low budget cartoon" and I find this take on superion refreshing. G1 is great, I just enjoy variety.

It's like how I loved that TFC's Hercules / devastator used the vehicle treads to make up devastators forearms.... but that wasn't G1 enough for the fandom.

 

Would a little bit of color other than grey really hurt this guy though?

 

Well, waiting actually works sometimes. Like I regret buying warbotron, because the KO I have is bigger and better. I regret buying either, because I have the latest version of Zeta Bruticon. Because I waited on Zeta's bruticon, I got a box set with superior QC. I just wait now days until improved KOs, better variants, and gift sets/ second runs are released.

 

I want a Herc for that reason alone.

 

Seems like all the figures I wait on are quickly sold out and never KOed, so my only option is inflated eBay prices. But the ones I snap up turn out to be shelf warmers later available at half price, or KOed.

 

Waiting is always Risk / Gamble.

For example: I want a TFC Poseidon Set Knock off, because I can not afford all 6 Seacons at once right now. Missed the Chance. Every Sh*t gets a Knock off.
Even TFC Superion got a Knock off.

But I think there will never be a Poseidon Knock Off.

Another Example:
Generation Toy Optimus Primal (Gorilla)
Missed the Chance, is now Sold everywhere
on Earth, will not get a Reissue.
So I am screwed.

So Yeah waiting is always a High Risk.
Not everything gets Discount, Re Issue, Box Set or Oversized Knock Off.
