So I bought literally every Seeker I could find in my area to turn into some seekers. I plan to do this 1 or 2 more times, and I figured to keep things from getting bogged down I'd just group every 3 or 4 into 1 post. Anyway, Enjoy! Starscream is pretty basic, nothing important to say Same with Skywarp I decided to make Thundercracker a deeper shade a blue to help avoid confusion with Novastorm when I get around to him Now Acid Storm is interesting because I really liked the idea of him being scarred by his own acid. So I attacked his wings with a lighter to make them pocked and burned. I also melted off half of his face, hence the reason half his face is blue.
As much as I'm a Thundercracker fanboy, I have to say that Starscream is killing it with that paint scheme. And that Acid Storm is also quite a work as well. Nice job on all of these!
These are fantastic! Are you aiming to make the G1 Season 1 'con crew in a movie aesthetic by any chance seeing your Soundwave and the Shockwave there (is he unmodded?)
I'm not really going for one specific season of G1, or even limiting myself to G1. I'm just kinda repurposing the Bay mold into what I think looks good. And Shockwave is mostly unchanged. He just has some added purple drybrushing and added silver and gold
I see, thanks for answering I just wondered as the group shot happened to have several of the pre TFTM mainstays there. And I know what you mean about not limiting yourself, I have bots from all over, whatever takes my interest ^^
Same here! Before I decided to trim my collection I had G1, Bayverse, Prime, and then random smatterings from various other lines. Even as the repaints go, the last couple of repaints I did were Shatter into Windblade and Crosshairs into a TFA style Red Alert
Very nice. If Hasbro actually made these, I'd buy them. I really do like what you did with Acid Storm. It gives him more personality outside of just being the green seeker. When I first saw Skywarp, the colors looked like dark green/grey, rather than black/purple. Any chance we could see them in jet mode?
I'm trying to avoid Transforming them because this most has a lot of places where it scrapes and rubs. The jets are basically just a solid color of whichever base color I used.
