Well on the pictures it says in green that that was the designer (i think it is said his name is kato) sketch. They say none of these was made into a product but it still shows the designer passion about designing product. So even at the time of these pages it was pretty clear that they didnt make the cut
Thanks for the tip. Looks like it's always up for re-designing since SOC Baikanfu's design seems...outdated. SOC I mean. They can always re-design Monsterous/DS6 into something more high-end. The Pose + Baikanfu shows us that anything can be possible: Not to mention. Super Minipla Baikanfu is killing it!
Yeah I see your point. Unfortunately I think the reason it stayed in design stage was just the overall lack of sale or interest in the franchise except the 2 main characters (from and her sister).
Heck, I'm at the point where I wanted to check out the Space Cobra episodes for the Psychoroid appearance. Some more random Gobots I bought. Staks (smokestacks from the non trailer version), Vamp, Pathfinder and Psycho.
Speaking of Psychoroid, thankfully this info exists: Psychoroid As well as a sneak preview: Check out 2:20. Same could be said for that Tamashii Nations 2019 Machine Robo with those re-designs of Bike Robo/Cy-Kill and Supercar Robo/Turbo. Talk about a tough sell. Hopefully, the Action Toys with their Blue Jet and Tough Trailer have something to say about it if they sell pretty uber well.
Time for a little update thanks to my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MachineRoG...1630164675768/212128500292600/?type=3&theater Apparently,a twitter account has found Tough Trailer in retailers: https://twitter.com/not_on_twitta/status/1331849521454694400/photo/1 Could have also not figured this one out if it weren't for a Zenotron/Zachary Ortiz on Twitter. Thanks,ma man.
Progress! I have no interest in Tough Trailer, but can't wait for Blue Jet! On a random note, I'm looking to buy some Rock Lords and holy crap, why are they so expensive complete!? I didn't even know they came with weapons when I was young.
Speaking of classic Machine Robo, here's a new thing I dug up months ago and waited to showcase till now: Machine Robo/Gobots Fandom Page Turns out that Machine Robo from 1982 - 1986 pre-Cronos era DID have in fact a main hero.
I think Bandai could make a great line or Super Minipla Machine Robo. I think the simplified transformations from PLEX would lend themselves well to that format.
Which what you said does bring credence to Bandai's Machine Robo being a hit seller since the info I got from the site does in fact have a huge number on how much Machine Robo they were able to sell during the 80's. Stay tuned for the updates of said detective work.
Rock Lords Boulder and Magmar. Six more to go from my childhood.... Not sure what their names were in Machine Robo.
Both their names in the Japanese ver. are Battle Rock (which there were a tribe of them in Revenge of Cronos and Battlehackers) and Devil Rock (there was one of them in Cronos which had a stand alone story in ep. 20 but they're usually grunts of Gyandlar).
