aside from the original cartoon, TFP is my all-time favorite series. i remember the first time i saw it on tv. it was several years ago on a Saturday morning, one of the local channels was running reruns. instantly caught my attention. it was the episode where arcee & airachnid battle at the cement factory. after that i had to have the dvd set. so that year my brother bought me the entire series on dvd, still got it. once a year ill watch it all the way through. still enjoy it every time..

as for the toys, at the time they were out, i had just barely started collecting with movie-verse figures. i remember seeing the TFP figures and thinking how weird they looked. because at that point, my view of any animated-style transformers was purely G1. they were so strange looking to me, to be honest i didnt like them. but as i got further into collecting and owning the series, i eventually started purchasing TFP figures. to this day theyre some of my most prized possessions. so here\'s to 10 more years of TFP. cheers yall..

TFP remains one of my all time favorite Transformers series. It also gave us easily one of my favorite incarnations of Wheeljack. Hell, same goes for Ratchet, Arcee, Soundwave, Starscream, Shockwave, and Megatron! Bulkhead, Knock Out and Breakdown were excellent too. The characters were excellent, the story was good for the most part, the action was excellent, the humans were actually good characters, the show focused on the Transformers rather than the humans, they balanced humor and seriousness pretty well, just overall very well done. It's too bad they went way overbudget and had to use some movie-inspired designs but they actually made them work. My biggest gripe though was how the showrunners fought the "Aligned Continuity" idea leaving quite a few plotholes between the show and the Highmoon games leaving the comics to try and fill them in. WfC and FoC will forever be my favorite interpretation of the Transformers universe and so I will always love TFP in conjunction.

Feels crazy that it’s 10 years old. I remember seeing the tv slots for it, and having zero interest in it. I finally caved and checked out an episode, and I’m glad I did. Despite being messy, I think the aligned continuity is my favorite continuity. From Transformers Prime, to the Cybertron games, to Rescue Bots, to the somewhat decent RID15, there’s something for everyone. I also think TFP Megatron is, by far, my favorite iteration of the character. Welker’s voice acting (Hot take, but Welker’s TFP voice is leagues better than his G1 Megatron voice. Megatron sounds much more imposing in this show than he did in G1), the ruthlessness of the character, the gladiator origin, and the design all come together to make one of my favorite takes on Megatron. The designs of the entire cast, really, are great too. They’re simplified versions of the Bayformer designs with some other hints of other continuities thrown in. It’s a great show that ended on such a mediocre note. Beast Hunters was great, sure, (Shockwave, I think, was my favorite part of season 3) but it really feels like the ending of the show was rushed. I’m excited for the re-release of some of the original figures, and I hope Animated gets the same recognition soon, too.

Wow 10 years ago I remember being in elementary school waiting for new episodes to come out each week. Definitely one of my favourite Transformers shows to date. Shame it went over it's already fairly large budget in the third season and canceled the fourth, but still good nonetheless.

Damn, I remember watching this show everyday after school in the 3rd grade and then my friends and I would geek about the episodes the next day. Ahh, memories.

It would be nice to see masterpiece figures of the show. Has/Tak or 3rd party. Doesn’t matter who makes them as long as it’s well done.

Still feels like yesterday when I used to wait every week for S3 episodes on YT - I really wish they had kept on that artstyle in some way, the show and the TF Universe game really had amazing designs.

I would much rather have new animated toys instead of that two pack we got for prime. I am happy for tf prime's fans, but I have literally zero interest in new prime toys unless it's an actually good knock-out.

I have such fond memories of this show, especially when I happened to stumble on to it by chance. I remember while being on a flight, they had episode 6 - 8 of season 1, and after watching those episodes, I became hooked towards the show.

I then managed to watch the first 13 episode of season 1, and catch up with everyone else. From that point onwards, I would wait until someone uploaded a new episode on Dailymotion or YouTube.

Once the show concluded, it wouldn't be until 4 years I would eventually watch the entire show again, thanks to Netflix, and surprisingly, I found out that Transformers was more than just this show and Animated; that there was an entire franchise with 30+ years of content worth exploring, so I'm grateful for that.

It also ironically made me aware that it had a follow up (2015's Robots in Disguise).

It is also one of the two Transformers shows that I have on physical media, so whenever I feel like re watching the show, I'll happily do so.

    Happy 10th anniversary Prime!

If a nobody like spinster can get an amazing toy, why can't a fan favorite like knock-out get one?

I don't think we will ever get another show quite like Transformers Prime. It was one of the few shows that I had watch as soon as a new episode premiered. I loved the show so much that I created a photo comic with my TFP "Cyberverse" figures. The characters were endearing, the writing was clever, and the designs were creative, striking, and visually interesting. The animation as a whole was gorgeous and made for some absolutely epic fight scenes.

Sadly, the show's high production values were also its biggest weakness, at least in my opinion. It felt like the writers wanted to do a lot more with the show, but didn't have the budget they needed for character models and environments. It honestly got a little ridiculous at times. Dozens of battles took place in the middle of nowhere. Characters like Tailgate and Seaspray were introduced off-screen just to die off-screen. For crying out loud, they wrote Dreadwing into the show just to get more mileage out of Skyquake's animation model. That being said, the small cast of characters also allowed for the kind of interactions and development that you just don't get with most TF shows.

TF Prime had a dynamic that was reminiscent of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. It always felt like the Autobots were isolated, outnumbered, outgunned, and fighting guerilla warfare. You had rogue characters like Wheeljack, Starscream, and Airachnid who kept things interesting. Events had measurable, long-lasting consequences (at least most of the time), and despite Hasbro's efforts to turn Season 3 into How to Train Your Predacon, we still got a pretty satisfying resolution.

One thing I will never forget are the first edition (FE) figures and how insanely difficult they were to find. First, they were going to be a mass retail release. Then, they were Toys R Us Exclusives. There were delays on top of delays. Orders were cancelled. Nobody knew what the heck was going on. Finally, Hasbro admitted they screwed up, but by then it was too late, because the inferior main line was already hitting shelves. So glad Hasbro Pulse exists now.

Anyone remembered Transformers Prime: The Game? The one with the new version of Thunderwing as a Unicron Herald? Soundwave's boss theme was a rave party.

I prefer to remember Universe cus (Hot take incoming) it was so under utilized and had the most original Transformers I've seen in years.

Oh Prime and I, our relationship could be an award-winning sitcom.

I love you, I hate you, I love to hate you, and I hate to love you.

I have many problems with Prime, some poor characters, pacing, plots, and exhausting repetition are a few reasons why I personally enjoy animated more. In the same breath, I love the character interactions, the art style is a joy, some of the plots are much more interesting and entertaining than some of the others and the animation was very good. I find I share a lot of the criticisms I have with Prime with Beast Wars.

Despite my issues, I still love Prime and I certainly wouldn't be sharing my opinion here today without it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TFP! Hopefully, we get more reissues of you in the future!

Bro, That was my shit on the 3DS. That's why I've been beginning for a Commander class Thunderwing.

Don't worry, TFA turns 15 next year.

    I feel like a f**king fossil.
