No plans on getting the yellow one - mainly as I’m running out of space and the blue one is the big nostalgia hit for me.

and I’ve weighed up getting the bushwhackers and the nasty boys too :)

Knowing nothing about it, but would the need the license to draw him as a VW in the comic? He was one in the early days of IDW, and I doubt they had a license then. Either way I hope if flixbee is too difficult to source he does worm his way into Kingdom.

You have to get Luke and Butch, if only because their arms are useless except for doing the battering ram finisher and the goofy walk!

Your brain's working fine, it's one of those nebulous situations where as you try to logic it out, logic dictates we don't have the info to make a concrete statement. All the speculations we posit immediately suggest a possible counterpoint without the evidence to prove one or the other definitely wrong we can only definitely come to a "maybe" - or a "maybe not"!
Well, then, the brimstoney ol' basterd better get me my Runabout, and double-quick sharpish to boot!
*Deliberately omits mentioning he's already done a bit of extra-white snagging and dabbed some smoke clear into Runamuck's canopy pin recesses to blend the ends*

    So...Kingdom Warpath.

Still can't decide if I want this or not. Leaning to no. Bu but I always kinda like Warpath's design, but this feels like one of the few WfC toys that is definitely worse than the Generations one. I'll probably skip it.

Maybe they'll do a Con repaint.

I will probably get this to replace Warpath so that means my Treadshot is a little more unique in the collection.

I haven't heard that from anyone I consider reliable. Honestly, everyone just needs to hang back and give Smyths the benefit of the doubt. They will get them.

I actually went to see him live once as I couldn't get tickets for Bill Hicks, who was on in another venue across town on the same night....our seats were right at the back so it's a good job I knew what his various faces looked like already otherwise I'd have been even more pissed off than I already was.

Well, the most expensive Transformer that I am ever likely to buy arrived today, thanks to that smashing @Knightdramon (although, whilst it was more than I'd intended to pay in the first place it was nothing like the money he's going for on the reg right now).

Weirdly, I was surprised at how light the box he was in was, and once I got him out I was also surprised at how small he was, compared to what I was expecting, but once I started handling him he felt a lot heftier....that'll be the mass shifting, eh?

Managed to transform him into both modes and back again straight out of the box with no instructions - although the knee locks inside his shins gave me pause for a mo and a friend on Twitter pointed out a couple of cosmetic bits I hadn't done in train mode - but bloody hell, those chest panels are iffy as fuck! They should be on sliders as those screws are never going to last, so between that and the worry over paint scratching I highly doubt he'll be getting transformed much :S

Oh, also, I seem to have one of the ones with the right hand that his gun won't tab into too.

Look at the state of the tabs in front of his crotch after one round of transformations -

HOWEVER, I sincerely doubt we'll ever get another Astrotrain as good as this and he's a real looker so I can't complain that much. If FT do Octane I'd be interested and I'll definitely be checking out their Blitzwing, although I suspect by the time he comes out the cost will be the same as the scalper prices straight from the off.

I wish I'd gotten Quietus and their Sixshot too, now. Bah.

    Mixed bag today.

    Negatives :

Still no Royal Mail delivery from the 13th November IDT order (despatched last Friday), or a seperate IDT Runabout.

Jessie, the Hedgehog we rescued on Saturday has plummeted in weight at the rescue we took her too so she's had to go up to a higher up rescuer person to be given antibiotics and more specialist help (think it's because of stuff she's eaten in the wild).

Kapow have put back their 60+ TF restock to next week due to Black Friday and still no Bumblebee movement.

Looks like tomorrow is going to be the day we finally put the nail in the coffin of our Centre Parcs trip when our area goes Tier 3. Completely understand the decision but gutted for our eldest as I booked that to make up for our Wrestlemania trip getting cancelled (we'd saved up for 4 years to get there, was a first time for both of us).

    Positives :

Watched Christmas Chronicles 2 tonight, was ok. Made me realise how much I want a Transformers x Pork Chop Express crossover though :D

Big win right at the death - an hour ago I had a text from NHS to say our 2 year old returned a negative Covid test this morning. Developed a really bad cough last night so booked him in at 2am, swab tested him at 8:30am (it was as awful as you can imagine at his age) and a negative result tonight.

All in all, that last one pisses all over the negatives so I'm going to bed happy. Let's hope for some Netflix Bee action tomorrow though hey.

PS - I like this board, this thread in particular. Nice bunch, you lot !

Me after having done my contracted hours on IT Helpdesk duty for the week:

BTW anyone got any hints and tips for Scorps' spear grip technique?

Try as I might I'm struggling to find a "sweet spot" of stability - to say it's the specific minion designed to complement him the haft/shaft of the spear doesn't seem to be made that compatible with his pincers! I dunno about anyone else but so far it seems to me you have to pick either pinched at the top of the claw or nip-gripped at the bottom instead of being able to line up a position where the spear's secured top and bottom.
None of the promising slots on Fasttrack's arms I theorised might be for slipping onto the pincer teeth for stable connection do shite-all assisting in-hand, and the torso I thought might slip in one of his mitts to make a decent hardpoint just...doesn't.
It feels like I've given more thought and effort to this darned weapon mode than the actual designer/s!

I mean I'm glad he got done, and I managed to nab one but he is the least impressive Weaponizer IMO.
Feel free to disagree but what should be his primary weapon mode seeming so much of an afterthought puts a big dent in his rep for me. Personally I think his spear mode looks better with the ER Megs turret endcap but no pop/twist n' lock elbows means he's more of a tickle stick than a Tyrant Spear no matter how you cut it.

    (Reposting here.)

So what's the situation for Netflix Soundwave here in Blighty? I haven't seen him on pre-order at Smyths, Kapow Toys or TFS-Express. o_O

keep a watch on the figure threads. There's Chinese pre orders for $1 or whatever up now, but you get to see when TFS-Express put theirs up, for example, and that way you'll get the regular price before it all goes crazy. You'll need to tie up at least a deposit, preferably the whole amount (the TFS-Express PO policy is pay the full 'early bird' price to lock it in, a deposit doesn't do that, but I've only seen them adjust to account for increased postage costs, nothing silly like 'a 7th batch found later' shenanigans or whatever).

The answer is never wait for FT. If you're reluctant to run the QC gauntlet, get it and leave it MISB until you're confident. If reviews scare you off, sell it (for profit, most likely) and wait on the next batch, although the cost may increase a touch on those. There's always a reissue.

Yeah, agreed, so glad they bothered to do such a niche figure but that spear mode is proper ‘will this do?’ stuff. Robot and vehicle are fine and I like the wheels profile as a spear but having the random bit left over pretty much sums it up.
