I just saw Cybercookie's news post on Instagram and if his leaks are true we're getting a couple more SS86 figures including a big voyager Swoop, and a Gnaw (I'm assuming deluxe) he also reaffirms that Devcon isn't happening. Though the most interesting thing he said in this report is an upcoming voyager rumored to be a new Optimus Prime and he took a poll asking which one do you think it is and one of the options is a Rotf Optimus V2. I think that is bogus since I think we can all agree that SS32/SS44 is the definitive SS movie 1-3 Optimus Prime and Hasbro doesn't seem like the company to go back and redo a figure in the same line like seriously I've seen some people ask for an updated SS18 Bumblebee. I believe once an SS figure is made and released that's what we're getting. If anything maybe Hasbro will restock SS32? Back to our mystery Optimus, all that's really left is AoE/TLK Prime and AoE Evasion Prime and out of the 2 I think Evasion Prime is probably next due to the big G1 focus lately.

I highly doubt they’ll invest time and money into a 3rd variant of one character in the same toyline.

 

Might be a pipe dream, but I'd love to see them redo the HftD voyager OR do a voyager version of the MPM Optimus.

Overload is more conceivable in hindsight since now we know they were willing to go all out to make a fully combining Constructicon set, and him, Scavenger, and High Tower all being components of Devastator pretty much guaranteed them a spot. Devcon is his own entity and a complete background character, not an iconic Decepticon like Blackout (who had the distinction of being the first movie TF we saw) or a part of a larger project like Devastator.

 

we still don’t have an ss frenzy too. if frenzy didn’t exist 07 would’ve played out way differently as frenzy wouldn’t have gotten megatron and the allsparks locations. it’d just be autobots go to hoover dam and optimus kills himself.
