Don't have MP45, who looks arguably (way) worse than either of these figures.

MP-45 doesn't look that bad; granted, I do prefer the netflix mold.

 

This is a great CHUG BB. I don't know if I'll end up getting him largely due to his similarities to MP-21, which I already have. It's kinda the same story with ER Sunstreaker...he's so close to the MP in a number of ways that I kinda feel like I already own the figure.

 

Awesome that they finally gave him a Beetle alt-mode again, but the TR figure is such a cutie by comparison, especially the headsculpt, plus he fits into my collection better size-wise.

 

Got mine today, he's a solid figure but I was wondering if anyone else has the issue where his one shoulder doesn't get held on place by the windshield in robot mode?

 

I have two copies of Cliffjumper, plus one Hubcap and Bugbit. The peg thing seems to be very hit and miss, tough to get out in 2, easy in the other 2.

 

A decent figure but he doesn't do it for me the way other mainline figures did. No matter how hard you push there's an unsightly gap at the top of his rooftop in car mode, and the windshield is monstrously hard to tab in place for car mode. Other than that, good tolerances and paint but not a solid offering IMO.

 

Does anyone have a pic of this next to MP-45?

 

Is it just mine or is the clearance getting the canopy folded down for vehicle mode REALLY scary? Like, Im worried im gonna break it.

 

Yeah, we're all noticing that.

 

You really have to force it. Normally this wouldn't bother me but the fact that it's clear plastic, I don't see used copies staying solid.

 

Got mine, my copy is good except for:

My copy is like this too, I’m surprised the windshield tabs haven’t cracked yet. I did notice the windshield subtly bows inwards towards the middle, in turn, thus might make the outward tabs go further forward and/or out?

I wonder if those tabs are even needed for transformation.

Otherwise this is fun to mess with. Since the pegs for the backpack aren’t painted, the 5mm pegs are easier to use. I use 1 of the guns mounted on there as a shoulder cannon. Cool to see that the translucent plastic is layered over opaque plastic for the front and rear windshields. Also cool to see paint being used over very closely matching yellows(except for the windshields). It’s a neat touch. Also noticed the VW hubcaps which I wasn’t expecting(good attention to detail).

This takes what was good on MP-21 and puts it in a smaller package. MP-21 manages to be smoother to transform, possibly due to the bigger size and more clearance. Really wish an autobot symbol was printed on the chest.

Also liked how that sled mode from Cliffjumper can still be used on this Bumblebee.

 

I’m loving this little guy. Not sure I’ll ever need another G1 Bumblebee. Now I just need this remolded into Goldbug.

 

Bring me Generations Select Goldbug please Hasbro.

 

Seems unlikely since Bugbite ended up as a CJ repaint. Some have speculated that Hasbro is only allowed to use the VW with Bee.

I really like this guy, and in fact like him way more than either of the MPs.
I like that his windshield points up. That helps keep him from looking pot-bellied.

In fact it reminds me of Toy World Bii, which is actually my favorite "G1 Bee" figure. If only that figure was a little bit more solid, and the yellow on it darker.
