Cheetor is okay. At least he isn't the Silverharasser that makes me puke.

They're both much better in Beast Machines IMO.

 

I never liked Sea Change either. Felt way too out of place. I also didn't like that episode were they visit an alien planet and they were the size of toys. That seriously felt like a commercial more than anything. But as others have said opinion on the worst is subjective due to everyone having different likes. I really loved Dinobot Island, I thought Megatron's Master Plan (while probably rushed due to timing) was the perfect plan. Lord Chumely was interesting as well but I do enjoy a villain other than the Decepticons all the time.

 

The episodes that I have the hardest time sitting through are the season 2 AKOM episodes: City of Steel, The Autobot Run, and The Core. While AKOM episodes were the norm post-movie, they just didn't sit very well with me in the second season.

 

BOT it's painful in every possible way.
Carnage in C Minor at least has a reasonable plot when you just listen to it.

 

True. I'll second The Girl Who Loved Powerglide (*shudders*) and anything in season 2 with Warpath going "Kablam! Zammie! Kazzoom!" like some demented scat artiste.

Most of what I love (or find bad in a lovably hilarious way) is in the movie, hence me spoofing it, tbh.

 

I liked the idea of The Core quite a bit, so for whatever reason it made me a little more tolerant of its awful AKOMy animation.

Also for whatever reason I can't quite entirely hate AKOM because at least they gave us Chip with his sweet blue jacket.

 

Any of them from season 3 onwards (not including the movie, that was awesome)

 

Actually, I'll add "Sea Change" to my above comment, which like TGWLP was also a bit bloody ridiculous, with old Hoverboy falling in love with a female alien.

Generally speaking, not a huge fan of Transformer/humanoid love stories (unless it's Charlene & Skids having their little soapy rubdown in the Marvel comics obviously. Gotta be exceptions. )

If you're into that niche, there's always Blade Runner, Electric Dreams, or Enemy Mine.

Personally, I heavily disagree with this. Sure, season three had stinkers (Fight or Flee, Starscream's Ghost, Return of Optimus Prime and Only Human), but the other episodes I felt were a lot better than a lot of the first two seasons. I always felt the writing got better after the movie, though then again, I always liked the 86-90 characters more than the 84-85 characters. I always felt the latter characters were a lot more interesting than the previous ones.

I struggled to follow the later episodes, I tried to rewatch season 3 onwards but I found it really difficult to follow what was going on because it seemed a bit disorganised and I was never a big fan of all the combiners being introduced in such quick succession, it just seemed gimmicky

 

Well, the Combiners were actually mostly introduced at the end of season two. Season three only introduced Predaking in Five Faces of Darkness, and Computron and Abominus got introduced later on in Grimlock's New Brain, so I wouldn't call that as quick as Superion, Menasor, Bruticus and Defensor in season two.

Then again, I personally never been a fan of season one of G1. I always found it the dullest out of them. There were some jewels like Ultimate Doom and Fire in the Sky, but most of the season was just meh for me.

 

I hate episodes where TF Characters turn into humans (like "Sea Change" and "Only Human") I also hate episodes where TF Characters have relationships with humans (like "The Girl Who Loved Powerglide")

3. Since when could anyone fall in love with a massive robot let alone a different species. It's like a cat and a robot lion

Every G1 episode is terrible! The animation errors for every episode makes the show look like a college student's first animation project!

For a much more serious answer. I would have to go with B.O.T. whoever thought that episode was worth to run it on tv channels was clearly inhaling Energon cubes.

 

Rebirth really for just what it symbolised. The show ended on a good note with the ironically named The Return of Optimus Prime 2 parter. Then we get this super cheap, entry that tries to undo the last 5 mins of TRoOP and has some of the worst animation ever in what I assume was a cynical attempt to revive the francize that was near the end of it's first run.

And considering the animation studio that did the episode I don’t think it’s the worst
