After some spoilers earlier here finally some pictures of Landcross. He's not entirely finished yet, but presentable and I promised. The blue stripes on his upper legs are still stickers, I still have to paint them for real. All six members are there but maybe not as you would have imagined. The 4 limbs you've already seen. Dash is a repaint of CW Ironhide and Tackle is a repaint of CW First Aid. Mach is a customized Alpha Bravo and for Tacker I used CW Rook with Shapeways/Steam Shield's Blocky Driller Tracks set (intentionally the set is used to create Twin Twist). But the torso is just Wing and Waver is this kind of shock wave gun. I used CW Voyager Silverbolt and CW Legend Shock Wave. Landcross together with Liokaiser are my 2 favorite combiners.
GATTAI LANDOCROSS Looks cool. He's ready to awkwardly tell people about not permiting their evil deeds and then get crushed by liokaiser.
All alt modes are ready and the gestalt mode almost. But robot mode only Mach is completely finished now. I hope to finish at least Dach, Tacker and Tackle soon.
man your custom combiners just make me want to get my team done quicker! the only issue is how much people are selling some CW figures.
This looks amazing. I’ve been pondering how to make a Landcross for years, but you seem to have nailed it.
I'd like to use as less add ons as possbile. In the old days the gestalt head usually was put over the normal head (except for Defonsor, I'd really liked that then), chest plates were added, hand and foot plates were added. When the Combiner Wars came, I really liked the way the heads and chest plates were intergrated in the figures and only hands and feet needed to be add on. And that these parts could transform in to a weapen. That's why I don't use add on chest plates, and PE upgrade hands and feet, but every rule has exceptions. The feet on my Courageous gestalt because with PE feet it looks more cartoon accurate and the upgrade set for Volcanicus, posing him without was no option because I don't like the actual torse, the proportions are just not correct.
I finished Dash and Tacker today, unfortunately I couln't finish Tackle yet. But on what did I base their appearences? Because in the Transformers Victory catoon serie, only Mach and Tackle appear in their robot modes, all other 4 members of the Multiforce team never appeared single only in their duo combiner modes. But there are these vague color drawings in their bios and when I compare the drawings of Mach and Tackle to the cartoon serie, it seems to match. So I used these color drawings as models for my versions. Here are Dash and Tacker.
