Thats cuz it looks like hes using unicrons colors. Cybertron galvatron is what you want if you want the g1 megs colors.

 

He kinda IS using Unicron's colors. That's why he has the same shoulders too. It was the Armor of Unicron that.. was designed but no story ever went anywhere with it

 

Not gonna lie, i havent watched cybertron since it aired and have been working up to it (on energon now). Basically i forgot that that there was a purpose to the colors. Lol. Just thought it was something on the japanese side of the show.

I don't recall if the shows ever explained it, I think the armor aspect was supplementary material explaining it. Been a while myself so sorry

 

Cybertron attempted to explained it in that he had the armour of Unicron after Energon, explaining his colours and body resembling Unicron instead of his Energon body, but trying to dub explanations from previous shows to a show that was produced as stand alone can lead to it being tough to convey it properly.

I would love to finally get a Deathsaurus! Him and Star Saber are at the top of my list. It's like we get a tease here and there but they never make them. I wonder if we'll ever see them released in any form in America.

 

Now that Hasbro is celebrating Beast Wars the time is ripe for WFC style toys of other beast alt mode characters.
I know a lot of people would like to see the Deluxe Insecticons, Headmasters and Pretenders finally get great accurate toys with modern articulation.
Cybertron's beast planet has a lot of beast alt mode characters. RID and Armada had some Beast Wars redecoes that could be Generation Selects offerings.
And NuRID had characters with imaginative beast robot modes, some of which never had a toy.

 

if hasbro goes the armada route i think we'll see 2 armada prime molds. the takara one we've seen that has it's combined mode, and a mainline one that is like an updated bendy prime

 

I don't think so. Bendy Prime's main reason for being popular was the articulation for the time, which, with WFC's recent figures, will make the two figures redundant. They'll release Prime as a Leader or Commander, and that's it. Repaints maybe

 

well from what we know the armada prime proto was to expensiove to be commander but it seems takara still plans to release it as a selects release and will probably cost 150 ish if not more. im just assuming that if hasbro does armada that they'll probably want an affordable optimus for the line

 

We don't know what measure that cost was determined at though. And Pixel's sources have been hit or miss as of late, especially with info like that.

 

I suspect year one of the next trilogy will be Kingdom 2.0...they have to design these things a couple years out, so they really wont be able to judge if the beasts will be a good idea to go deeper with yet or not. If I was planning it out I'd likely go with a mix of Transmetals, throw in the HM jr's and a mix of Armada (with the anniversary and need for a Starscream I'd bet on Voyager Armada seekers being almost a lock!) and late G1 / G2 for vehicles. Years 2 and 3 will either see a heavier commitment to beasts or a return to a heavier vehicle mix depending on how Kingdom's beats perform

 

Whatever 2022 and 2023 bring, I fully expect 2024 to be a big 40th anniversary celebration.

 

The anniversary figures are often just rereleases of previous moulds of the celebrated line.

please consider those 6 have easy repaint potential in their power up mode, in optimus case you could release his final battle colors as voyaguer alone since he never appear in the super mode in the power up mode

also armada used to have a transmetal cheetor repaint so they could do a transmetal cheetor in his original bw color and then a retool of ravage including season 2 transmetals

so if the line was half and half we got 9 slots from armada
on kingdom we have so far 12 bw figures
so maybe transmetals could act as a kind of weaponizers using allowing their kibble to be separated but not during transformation after to form as armor and weapons, they are fully functional but using their kibble in a interesting way cheetor, rattrap, primal, megatron and tarantulas , they could separate in parts for example cheetor jets and front beast legs(the ones that end on the back) and tail into weapon not damaging the original figure transformation, transmetal rattrap wheels as shields and the tail, primal back robot mode back armor as armor, legs as cannons, tarantulas transmetals legs as weapons, megatron shoulder pads as shields , legs as cannons

 

I also think that if Hasbro will do an Armada anniversary, they might release the "Bendy" Prime thing for THE SIXTH BLOODY TIME. Of course, that is if they will continue re-releasing figures from the celebrated line.

 

I was really disappointed when they changed ER Prime's eyes from yellow to blue. The yellow eyes showed me Hasbro hadn't forgotten that back in the day not everything was all Sunbow all the time.

It's had me thinking that I miss the toy colors we got throughout Prime Wars with a lot of the characters. TR Kup was comic/toy colors off the top of my head.

So do you think any amount of Toyetic/Comic Themed redecos would hold traction?

Also, I know that the toys and comic didn't always line up. Fuscia Soundwave being a Prime example. Or Black Helmet Megatron.

I would personally go to extreme and filthy lengths to get a Netflix Soundwave in Marvel Fuscia colors.

Interestingly, Siege Shockwave is totally Marvel colored since he's got the all purple barrel/backpack as opposed to the toy/toon model with the silver backpack.

 

I would love some more Marvel decos to come back for some characters, but especially Prime and Megatron. I always liked Prime/Megatron with yellow eyes and Megs with a black helmet.
