This is actually the X-Version. I have a preorder in for the reissue so I can get one for alt mode. I had two at one time and traded it off and am happy I get another chance at it.

Yeah, went ahead and paid it off. It’ll be a while but I’ve been wanting this guy for so long that I’m at least happy the money is out of the way and now I just have to wait

 

Man, I'm second-guessing whether or not I want this reissue. The only thing holding my preorder is that no company has announced larger, G1 non-combiner figures other than Zeta's Unicron or Ocular Max's Star Convoy.

I don't see anyone else attempting him soon with modern articulation. I wish Kubalsky had Skyfire/Jetfire on MMC's radar.

 

While Phoenix is kind of a brick (compared to modern MP's, FT ones included) it really works for his size TBH.

I wouldn't mind a better HS, that is.

 

Bigger figures always seemed weird to me if they had all the articulation of smaller one and if they get loose over time that's gonna be one floppy boy. I don't really care about waist swivel or ab crunch since it takes forever to get them into a decent pose using them, they look awesome just standing there anyway instead of looking like gundam

 

He pulls off stoic and commanding pretty well, and the hands do a great job of adding expressiveness and character.

But for me its because he's so big and the likeness is so close that I'd love to see waist swivel, butterfly joints, primary and secondary ab crunch, a greater degree of ankle pivot, and a neck hinge like Transform Element's Mirage for a truly MP Skyfire.

Feels like I'm leaning toward it only for rarity's sake and its admittedly fantastic sculpt when articulation takes priority for me.

Yeah. I remember a time when I wouldn’t go anywhere near FT Tesla, bugs or spotter due to how awful the face sculpts were. Now, I honestly can’t really get over how good some of them are. Especially impressed with the stunticons so far.

I would be happy with a reissue.

 

A reissue with some new face sculpts would do the trick, imo.

Spotter, in particular, needs the option to have all three with the same dead creepy stare, like the other MP Reflectors. I hate how Fanstoys tried making them all show indivuality in their expressions, because that's not what makes Relfector appealing to me.

 

I feel like Spotter and Opticlone look about as good as each other in robot mode, but it's in camera mode where that KFC version really shined.

 

At that cost and with 60% die-cast they'll be using the cheapest possible metal aka brittle shit that'll fall apart or disintegrate. You'd be buying something whose joints will probably collapse during shipping. Don't get me wrong, I love a bargain but that isn't a bargain, that's a pile of parts held together by spit and prayer.

This KO announcement is bullshit. If something actually comes to fruition, cool, I don't care. But this is just a major sign of nothing really happening, to me.

 

Someone better QC that MSRP. And yes 厂家指导价 means MSRP.

ShowZStore debunked that price once already. They should know, they have carried a ton of KOs.
