Her official name only has one "r" in the middle.

A functional vehicle is literally a frame, engine, wheels, drivetrain and steering system. Maybe suspension too.

Even as incomplete as Cliffy is without his rear section to call him not a functional vehicle is a textbook example of wrong.

Hell NASCAR stock cars are literally just that...frame, wheels, engine, drivetrain, suspension, fire suppression and driver functions with a fancy cover that goes over all of it so they look like cars.

Four wheels doesn’t automatically make it functional.

    They sure aren’t functional disguises.

functional disguise wasn't mentioned in that post I quoted, functional vehicle was. You're trying to argue a different point

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Transformers Community, Airazor's name is an example of what is called a portmanteau. It essentially is the mixing of 2 words into a new one that relates to the 2 words. Some examples include "motel" being a combination of "motor" (as in car due to you accessing the rooms from the outside of the building) and "hotel" (being what a motel is like), "brunch" being a combination of "breakfast" and "lunch" (because it is eaten between those 2 meals), "podcast" being a combination of "iPod" (where people used to listen to podcasts) and "broadcast" (what a podcast is), "smog" being a combination of "smoke" and "fog", "emoticon" being a combination of "emotion" and "icon", the obvious "spork", and "brainiac" being a combination of "brain" and "maniac". Airazor's name is a combination of the words "air", because she becomes a bird-of-prey, and "razor", referring to the talons of her bird-of-prey mode. Portmanteau was originally a form of suitcase which split into 2 equal parts, but was used in this context by Lewis Carroll in his book Through the Looking-Glass, which was his sequel to his Alice's Adventures in Wonderland book. Fun fact, a "Looking-Glass" is a mirror.

In fact, the Power of the Primes Duocon Battletrap was a portmanteau of the 2 components Battleslash and Roadtrap (well, more of a compound word, but that would be a lesson for another time). But think about other portmanteaus.

You are welcome for this brief linguistic lesson. No tests. Just this lesson.

....I was trying to make a joke..... guess I NEED to use blue text every time then. And yes, the original posts i was quoting DID spell her name "Airrazor" and that led me being confused for a bit. Now that I know her name has only 2 Rs instead of three, I have went back and fixed the previous quotes with the needed blue text. Thank you for showing me the erros of my way

    ...ugh....

TBH out of all the reveals here, I am actually really interested to see how they tackle magnus. Don't get me wrong, the others are amazing for sure, but magnus peaked my interest due to the fact they're retooling it from space-cybertronian to earthrise!

1- The arms fold out at back ala siege, that we know. But what about the front bumper? Will it slide up/down the spine or there'll be more folding? It'll be pretty nifty if it folds like ER prime, to a degree.
2- The back carrier/trailer. If its earth mode and G1 they gonna do, for sure magnus' will be towing it rather than it attached at the back ala-siege counterpart.
3- IF magnus will be towing the carrier/trailer, then maaaaybe it'll reuse the same legs featured on ER Prime?
4- hopefully they make the hands articulated ala ER prime too.

So many things to know from this! It'll be an extensive retooling I'm willing to wager, not just a reshell at front! Only time will tell.

I just realized that there's no mention of an Earth-mode Sideswipe anywhere in that listing. Is there really no new figure in prospect? It's the reason I held off on Earthrise Sunstreaker because he needs a matching Sideswipe like the Universe toy. :(

I'd keep my expectations low if you can, he's not as extensive a retool as you might think/hope.

From what I've seen the alt-mode cab and robot mode being updated appears the priority, with the trailer's accuracy less of a concern.

I too, am actually waiting for ER sideswipe (if that's even a thing). Doing it would be quite a massive undertaking; Having 99% altmodes look similar while having a different transformation/look on respective characters. Aside Masterpiece line, I don't think any other is capable of that feat.

But hey, WFCT/Studio 86 line has been stellar, so color me surprised if I'm actually wrong on this...

Fair enough. Still, considering we are in the oh-so 'golden age' of G1 reiterations, a bit of wishful thinking wouldn't hurt :D

I'm still on board even if the trailer won't be as accurate, 'cause I think I'm in the minority that actually think siege magnus' core bot is perfect as it can be hahah!
