    He looks great in that colour. But having fasttrack in hand, I'm kinda glad I cancelled my saf preorder. I liek fasttrack a lot, but I don't think I two mould like him.

    Well, wife has given up on Stargate. We got to the episode where Thor reveals himself properly and she just burst into hysterics. I genuinely wish I had that reaction on tape. She claims he's ruined MCU Thor now and she doesn't want to watch the show any more (she wasn't super into it before, Thor was just the final piece). So I'm off to watch it solo. Lunchtime stargate. Woo.

    Ducktales continues to be all kinds of awesome. I like the little addition of Webbie always wearing the friendship bracelet throughout Lena episodes, even when it's not a part of the plot. Just watched the hallowween episode. Della and Donald are a great double act. Hope those two get a bit more screen time together. Flint Ferris Glom Wheel was just.... what can I say? Brilliant!

    Oh yes The Hobbit. Had that. Typing NWSE to move around. Haha. Technical stuff that. Valhalla was a strange game and wasn’t easy for me to understand as a young kid what I was trying to do. I was in the same boat as yourself. I’d like to revisit these games.

    Back then it was which camp did you fall into - Spectrum or Commodore. We had the Comm Vic 20 and naturally went on to the 64. The games carried over. I actually think we had a Commodore Plus 4 at one point. With regards to the Spectrum, Jetset Willy or was it Manic Miner that was all the rage back then? I liked the cartridge Football game that was available to the Comm 64. Quite the contrast to loading up a game on a tape player.

    That was a big upgrade back then from 48k to 128k. Hehe. It would have been a paper round I had back in 88/89. I got a part time job at Sainsbury’s in 1991 plus selling double glazing for a summer after my GCSEs in ‘91. I remember the hourly pay rate for that selling job. £1 per hour :eek: . Clearing your bill would have taken ages. Haha.

    We didn’t have the modem till 1989/90. My proper gaming days started in ‘92 and when I went to Uni in ‘94. I was heavily into the Quake franchise by then. First year of uni and I couldn’t stop playing Diablo 1.

    @MyTea Boc,
    Cheers Brian, it's reassuring to know that even if my brain isn't wired correctly to register the cold or ferret bites I appear to be in a reasonably good state elsewhere :p

    @Ottertron,
    Thanks! really hoping this works as it's something I've wanted to do for a while but the docs always said not to do it.

    Lockjaw was such a main draw for the set I haven't even looked at Black Bolt yet. Ideally I would have bought Lockjaw as his own release with a couple more headsculpts.

    That said I do like Black Bolt as a character as his vocal range is similar to someone else with the initials BB :D

    @barry,
    We are supposedly living in more enlightened times but it's disturbing how some of the prehistoric attitudes linger.

    Approaching it like any other illness and trying to get people to be able to manage things more efficiently so they can still live a "normal" sort of existence would be better for all as over time it would lead to less strain on the system and the breaking down of present stigmas associated with mental illness.

    If the reduction in anti depressants works I'll have more energy overall which in turn can help me get into exercising more often and that can also assist the bid to turn the blood pressure situation around so crossing my fingers. It'll probably be a bit weird to begin with as my system is so used to the present dosage but will bear that in mind and try not to get too frustrated if I feel crap for a bit.

    @Napalm,
    Nice Jetfire pic, looking forward to getting mine when Comics & Cocktails get the new run and will probably use some of the guns for the Thundertank fan mode for Sky Lynx!

    @SJW,
    I think we had Valhalla although it was my sister's so I likely never got to play it at the time.

    The cartridge soccer game on the C64 was International Soccer which I played loads at a friends house. It later got improved and released on cassette as Emlyn Hughes International Soccer which was one of the best if not THE best footy game on the C64....it was between that and Microprose Soccer.

    By today's standards they're primitive but having seen how sterile football games have become in the quest for increased realism I think there's something to be said for the simpler approach.

    NI toy shops hold on to stock like no one else. Spotted these 'brand new' 10 year old quarter scale beauties in Newtownards today.

    Well my kid is ill, my bosses boss just dropped some extra work on my and I got a wholesome 2 hours sleep last night due to sick kiddo, so I'm right there with you dude in the damp mood sector.

    But I did get to see my daughter sneeze a metric ton of ectoplasm onto my wife's face, so I am at least I'm chuckling through.

    You also smell delicious. Like freshly baked hunk.

    That is par for the course isn't it? Wouldn't be surprized to find places in this country selling original A-Team figures.

    Ouiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii (that means: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees) !
    Really glad someone said that, I agree with all my heart: I looove The Ninja, a really really nice pedestrian shoot (released even before Commando), which ok drove me nuts as a kid but is and always will be associated with my Sega love. They know their Ninja stuff.
    And yes about the female protagonist for the original arcade release. Its inclusion in the Astro-City mini roster is -seriously- 50% of my why I decided to preorder one.

    Also shout out to my fellow Rastan fans.

    Asterix and Land of Ilusions are still two of my favorite plateformers ever <3
    It's not a surprise that those two, as well as Castle of and Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, were develloped by the very same team.

    Despite Amazon's best efforts (another victim of Amazon's growing tendency to forgo shipping products in a carton) Ironhide & Prowl arrived safe and sound. A quick chat with their CS dept I've also got a 15% refund on the way. It was that or return it (not a chance!).

    Impressions? Ironhide is pretty good. The shield is an acceptable alternative to the sled, and van mode is decent despite the feet. What bothers me more is that there's three different variations of red plastic.

    Prowl is the star (and the reason for me getting the set). He is spot on in robot mode and it's nice to pick up a Earthrise carbot that actually tabs together in car mode, it's just a shame that brings more attention to the failure of Bluestreak and Smokescreen to do so. Also - lack of shoulder cannon! I can't believe they aren't gang moulded with the rifle. Does it really cost that much to include them in the set?

    Good spot. Still doesn’t show as shipped.

    I quickly had a look at my bank account and can still see the transaction is pending. Been like that for sometime. I just assumed they had taken the money by now but clearly not.

    I reckon the figures are already in transit to either an EU member state and/or making their way to an amazon uk distribution centre by the end of this week. Payment will get taken then in time for delivery on Monday. That’s what has happened to Doublecrossers and Slitherfangs I ordered from Amazon US.

    I’ve previously received items from amazon US that haven’t updated online to shipped status but were clearly shipped and received by me.

    My ZXB-03 Upgrade Kit + Weapons set for the Datsun trio has shipped. Wasn't expecting that so soon. There are likely a few things that I won't be hanging onto from it, quite satisfied with the modified Matrix Workshop weaponry on my Smokescreen so may well be throwing his guns up for grabs. I'll see how I feel about Prowl's stuff too, got a feeling it'll be the Matrix Workshop stuff I toss there.

    Massively looking forward to capping those ugly clip on wheels and sorting Bluestreak out with some fancy cannons.

    Just dawned on me that there is an awful lot of shieldformers in the WFC line.
    Trailbreaker gets a shield, Apeface gets a shield, Ironhide, Cliffjumper all get shields and now Huffer gets a shield.
    On top of that we have robots that turn into shields.

    Absolutely Well Jell of all the Runabout pics, wrestling with suppressing my inner "WHERES MINE!?!" Instincts, fings crossed tomorrow or Thursday, otherwise one shall have to start quite sweating!
    I prefer to think of TB's "shield" as a purely optional affair, a sop to appease T30 play pattern fans, it's an opening hinged backpack on mine - who needs a shield if they got a forcefield, eh?

    It’s especially daunting because besides the beast era, I can’t think of many TF’s with shields. Although as mentioned by @Seeaich, Trailbreaker gets the best shield treatment by having something actually shaped like one, AND it folds away.

    First one that springs to mind for me as an OG1 shield-bearer is Blurr, and it always struck me that shouldn't he be more about getting the heck out of there rather than ducking behind a shield in one spot?
