As of yesterday the grocery store Aldi got in wave 2 of earthrise. Miley will go fast. I managed to get one of each.

 

This was last night at Monrovia, California Aldi. I grabbed a Smokescreen and an Allicon.

 

Saw these guys today!!!

 

ohhh, it's so much worse than you both think/realize, as they've been at Ross for $8 for a month or few now...  


Perhaps most have been cleared out of your local ross stores by now, but I've been seeing the one-off wfc deluxe hound or barricade ever so often. Voyager wfc siege Starscream at $13 still seems more abundant than most others.

Also, multiple ross stores have clearanced the sharkticon set down to $8.99; but since I got a few when target clearanced them down to $6, those have been easy passes for me (but could still be nice for others).

I did happen to recently see the bot bots as well. I haven't collected them, so I just took a pic for posterity, but I now see a pic was already taken a few posts prior to this one.



Shout out to those letting groups know about aldi's wave 2 of earthrise deluxes... hadn't gone there in years, but went to one quite close this evening and of the 2 full cases they had I picked up 2 allicons.


For those that collect star wars figures in the 3.75" scale, Marshall's had this set for $15. Sloppy paint apps make it a hit or miss or miss (or miss), but fortunately, the one I was at had ~10 sets to choose from.



It'll be nice to have some vacation time off work next week!!! Should be some time to, amongst other things, take time to enjoy the pickups.

I grabbed one from a Ross that’s close and went back to see if they had mpm megs and sure enough it was another ironhide so I would assume they’re getting a little bit of restocks for him

I found 2 mpm megs at the Ross on 82nd in Indianapolis.

 

Hi everyone! I've been out of the collecting game for a while now due to limited time, essential work, budget, etc and I'm now trying to get caught up. What types of things from the Generations/Classics/WFC lines have been appearing in discount stores? I remember a couple years ago when Trypticon, (and before that it was Fortress Maximus) started showing up at stores like Ollies and all. Is there any chance of something like that happening again? I heard the made a Scopronok Titan class figure.

I'm looking to catch up on anything past Wave 1 of the Seige line, or even the end of the Power of The Primes lines.

If there's a Astrotrain, Arcee, Sky Lynx, Jetfire/Skyfire, or anything really... I'd love to know about it!

 

The ship has pretty much sailed on potp. And hasbro stock has been cut for titans and commander class figures. Your best shot at jetfire was when walmart or mwijers clearanced. And skylynx during the 25% off target circle which youd got another 5% with redcard. Siege had been spotted for the last little bit and very few earthrise bit not the same price discount. Earthrise airwave was 13 and some change on amazon and walmart recently. Aldis is having stocks of wave 2 earthrise. But nothing discounted. Scorponok is pretty much sold out so he wont likely show at discount. Omega supreme has preorder for a 2nd run so isnt likely to show at discounters either. At least not until maybe late next year. But seeing as walmart and meijer dont stock titans and only target does chances are slim to none. You might find members selling siege figures cheaper than other places as they may be unloading for earthrise versions.

 

The only way you’ll find Jetfire at discount is if you get lucky and find a opened return at a clearance isle at Walmart, the only time I’ve seen anyone picking him up marked down like that and it’s very rare. That figure was very high in demand so it’s unlikely you’ll be able to find him at discount stores. Hasbro is doing a reprint of him so you can get him at least for retail prices.

For Sky Lynx, It’s probably a tad soon to be looking for him at a major discount stores, maybe next year if stores aren’t able to get rid of him by the time Kingdom comes out.

Astrotrain, just hit up Ross stores. They have been getting him for the last several months, it’s where I bought mine. They sell the Siege version for 18$ and the Earthrise version for 30$ (Only difference is the box).

As for interesting things people are finding. Ross has been getting cool stuff such as MMS Ironhide and Megatron, Siege figures (deluxe, voyager, and Leader class), and now they are getting Earthrise leader class figures and Botbots. I found Studio Series 31 Megatron at Ollies for 15$ (figure was a toys r us exclusive) and someone found a ton of WFC Trilogy Spoiler Packs (A Walmart exclusive Ultra Magnus) for 25$ at Ollies

 

I'd also add, Jetfire hit clearance at Walmart already. So that boat has sailed. I did not know he's getting a rerelease and that's great news, but also means you probably won't see him at the secondary outlets or at clearance.

 

Yeah Jetfire hit clearance for $45 like a month after he came in, same thing as the marvel 80th anniversary figures. They went quick. It wasn't until the seige show hit that demand skyrocketed.

Target was great for skylinx, the 25% off combined with the buy 1 get one half off. I just wished Skorponok was available. But I can't complain got Sky Linx for $60 and the ML storm and thunderbird pack for $25.

Im just wondering about Skorponok. Stock of him has dried up everywhere. I've never seen a titan that wasn't available on sale around black Friday and it looks like he's not even going to be available anywhere for full retail.

BTW on that Star Wars Batton I picked one up at Ollie's yesterday. It looks like they came in with the sw nerf guns. I hadn't really looked at the display and thought they were all the same they're the same size long black box

 

Thanks for the info, guys. If it wasn't for this pandemic, I'd hit my usual rounds of Ross's, TJ Max, and Marshall's. Ollie's was magnificent the one time I went and got Trypticon. They had tons of everything. But it was also more than an hour drive from my house.

Saw about 6 of the Netflix Spoiler Magnus at an Ollie's in Virginia Beach. That popped up super quick but still no sign of the SS-31 Megatron around here

 

same here- Been looking for him since it was announced he was showing up and was a regular at ollies before that. Havent seen him in SC. I have 2 ollies fairly near me and neither one had him.

 

Completed my PR Beastmorphers set today from Ross. Woot!

Didn't realized until I got home that one of my botbot sets had the blind-packed figured removed. I guess I can do Ross a solid this time and just be happy with the other 7 figures for $6.

 

Stopped at my local Ross today but nary an MPM to be found
