Well, this seems to be a "your mileage may vary" situation. Both ankles on mine are pretty locked up. I have not really gotten into how to fix the issue but I'm pretty sure I know what it is. I thought I was dead certain, but now I am second guessing myself. It only affects transformation as it is the joint to swivel the foot around to fold up on to the lower leg. I don't really want to comment just yet how to "fix" it because I'm no longer certain if I am correct. But on the official, there is defiantly a "thooping" point that would normally require flexing of plastic. Now that the parts are metal, that is not possible.

I'm sorry if this has been said previously, but does anyone know if the ankle issues are just during transformation? I never intend to transform mine, just keep it in robot mode. Would I need to do these fixes, even if I just want to pose him on a shelf? Thanks

    It's just during transformation

Yeah the ankles fundamentally need modding. I tempted mine due to my eagerness to transform it, and even though I was being as careful as physically possible, I could see a stress mark quickly forming on the plastic beam. It doesn't help that there are ridges all along it, encouraging the tear.

Finally managed to get mine! And so far the first impression is very good :)  I've been very gentle with his feet ( :confused2  ) but I haven't noticed any breakages.

Some joints are indeed stiff but they move smoothly in every direction. There're some qc stickers on his feet so maybe that's the case of mine idk

I personally think that he's a bit too small for my OSKO collection but I can live with that :)  on a positive note - the miscolored head is much less noticeable in person that on pics. Some comparison with LS04 and LS06s. (I really need a better camera :p  ) I will probably transform him this weekend.

Decided to paint the eyes to give them a bit more life. Not sure if he looks a bit "startled" now. I'll pretend it's that he's more unhinged/ evil looking.

Received my copy from Showz store. First impression, I really love the new paint app compare to the official mpm version. So far the foot ratchet joint is ok so far and the only minor issue I came across on my copy is that there is a small scratch on the cockpit window. Managed to saved myself $250 AUD and went with the KO which only cost me $96 AUD.

That's exactly the reason I'm going with this over the official, I just can't pay $250 for that figure when it has all those issues, (not to mention for that price I could buy a titan) so this price is just so much better, and the paint job certainly makes it an easier sell.

Same here, mine has just passed through Canada customs and is en route. I also have the "Honey Badger" Megatron on the way, the Decepticons have so far been absent from my MPM collection - the official releases are just too bland-looking.

Honey Badger is great, and if you can find them, Dreamfactory Steelclaw and WJ Hide Shardow are great substitutes for Bonecrusher and Blackout at the MPM size.

Got mine today, looks even better in person, all articulations are just perfect but as many have said before the ankles seem really stiff, sanding and lubricating should do the trick, here's a quick shot with his buddies.

For anyone hesitant about the sanding - it's a very easy process. Using a metal file (or a nail file might even do it) on the plastic ratchet ridges and the die-cast ratchet tooth, you won't even need to shave off much material for it to move much more freely. I'm usually reticent to cut and sand as it can sometimes take some effort, but this is a 2 minute fix!

Thanks! I don't have the figure in hand yet, so I can't evaluate it for myself.

I am confused, because I thought the problem was that it's metal grinding against metal? But if it's actually plastic that is easily sanded/cut, it seems like it's not as big of a deal.

The foot itself, with the ratchet tooth, is metal, while the joint is plastic. As other members have mentioned, it's a nasty combination of the tooth being made of metal (and thus having no give), paint being applied on top of this metal, and the plastic joint having a ridged section that encourages a fracture under stress.

    I'm another Club Member I guess :(

Is there any way to fix this now?

Man that Transformation was THE WORST! The instructions are THE Worsts I've ever seen in my life... and I seen plenty! I tried checking BenCollectable's video to help me figure out the transformation... but his video sucks more than the instructions of this figure :(  Too bad for such a beauty of a figure....
