Looks like you have the 29T Quietus, but aside from that, this is the same lineup I use. Really like the slight variances in the shades of blue from one figure to the next.

Can you post the link where you got the chest sticker for Sovereign?

 

I just used one of the extra stickers that came on a sheet with MP Shockwave. It worked much better than I expected.

 

My personal favorite decals are the press-and-peel symbols I got with the OS Jinbao Constructicon set... Each set came with a sheet of probably 16 different symbols of varying sizes. And seeing as how there are three sets, I had a ton of extras.

While I since sold the FT-16 for the FT-16M, the decals used were identical. They blend really well with the Unicron FT lineup.

 

So I have a question. This is a great figure, I love it. But does anybody know what this big fold up tab in his back is for? I don’t recall seeing it mentioned in the instructions and don’t really see a slot or purpose for it.

 

Isn't it to raise the backpack in robot mode?
It has been years since I transformed it though.

 

I think it is supposed to be folded out in alt mode to support the top of the hull. There is a small "thoop" notch in his butt for it. In Bot mode, when you slide the entire wing assembly up, it cannot be deployed at all.

 

Thanks! I never found it necessary for the alt mode but maybe I should give it a try.

 

fyi y'all, I emailed the X-Transbots customer service to ask about getting replacement wings for my Andras (b/c of the new release that had the overspray problems). I just had to pay $7 shipping, and my new wings are on the way! XTB took care of me.

Mine has light over-paint on the tip of the left wing and a little hazy mist of paint on the top of the right wing, but I've just been lamenting the idea of having to do the repairs to fix them, so if you feel up for posting a recap/tutorial/video of how it went, I'd be interested.

 

Are the feet on the toon version of Andras/Swarm really easier to transform compared to their v1?

 

Swarm pack came in today! Quick cell pics from the kitchen counter... woohoo! I kinda wanna leave them in space sub mode with original paint Andras in bot mode since they take up so much damn shelf space. Tho I should transform them to see what's going on under the wings.

Anybody else put con symbols on his alt mode? I was debating using the upper smooth spot (dark metallic area) but I kinda like it more on the nose.

 

I only have the reissue, but it was still a pain in the ass. Lot of risk for breakage there.

Sweet! Got mine coming at the end of the week. You also just reminded me to order batteries for all these Sweeps.

Edit: Does the Metroplex eye use the same batteries as the Swarm figures?

Ahhh, no. The eye takes two CR1220's. I have no idea how I had some... all these years of collecting and I have two drawers full of batteries that fix exactly one thing lol

I still have an original one that will be Scourge, and the Swarm will be his Sweeps. I'll keep them displayed in robot with my Fantoys Sovereign for now, but I might switch up to the hovercraft modes once in a while. Still need a Cyclonus too.
