I like this pairing because Spinister can “ride” Groove’s alt mold with relative ease. It probably would’ve looked better with a CW or UW Afterburner because of that late G1 synergy, but I don’t have either of those figures at the moment.
Tracks and knockout Lugnut and strika Ultra magnus and dreadwing And Nightbeat and shockwave would be cool
I meant all of the G1 toys you’ve been posting in the thread. Wondering if there’s a neat story or two behind some of those acquisitions.
Some of them are reissues, some are second hand and some are childhood figures. I kept most of my childhood figures up until a few years ago when I decided to streamline my collection and try to stick to one figure per character though that hasn't always been successful. My brothers, cousins and neighbours gave me all of their Transformers when I was a teenager so I ended up with around 190 figures though 60 or so were Micromasters and Nebulans. I do regret trading in my G1 Quake and Actionmaster Soundwave. Even in the last few weeks, I'm considering trading in my reissues Trailbreaker and Hoist since I've been pleasantly surprised with Earthrise Hoist. Reissue Sky Lynx too. I did give my G1 Beachcomber, Powerglide and Race Track Patrol to my brother's kids since they were his originally. I still have quite a few G1 figures. I had most of the Micromasters growing up and despite recently getting Earthrise Scorponok, I'll never get rid of my childhood G1 figure which is still in good condition. Note# G1 and Earthrise Fasttrack's arms are interchangeable. Most of the Autobot cars will be safe too along with the underrated 88 figures like Squeezeplay, Catilla, Carnivac and Snarler. Snapdragon, Galvatron, Metroplex, Cyclonus, Scourge, the Dinobots, Predacons, Megatron, Soundwave, Kickback, Thunderwing, Octopunch, Bludgeon, Rotorstorm, Boss, both Galvatrons and Pretender Bumblebee too. Not to forget Countdown and his Rocket Base that I won in the 89 Christmas issue#250 of the Marvel UK comic. Sorry to waffle on but I just wanted to answer your question.
I was never big on the Siege Micromasters. To me, the Micromasters are more synonymous with Titan class bases and modular play sets and I’m not really into collecting those. Only ever bought one Micromaster pair (Stakeout and Red Heat) and was somewhat disappointed in the quality, but then I noticed the peg on Stakeout and made this happen. Wasn’t expecting it to look as cool as it did.
I always saw Movie Evac and Movie Landmine as a "conjunx endura" or whatever you want to call a same-sex pairing in Transformers. Both great figures but unfortunately I don't own them anymore! Would buy a Studio Series Evac redeco of Blackout in a heartbeat though.
