They are super sweet. Get them if you can find them. Yes, too big to be by Soundwave, but great just by themselves.

Agree they are too large and really only serve as stand alone items but they are beautiful renditions of the characters. I have quite a few versions of SW as hes always been been my favorite TF so these guys sit amongst the many versions and their minions, it works pretty well in that capacity. I love to have this LB towering over a legends size Soundwave, just makes me smile!

I had one QC issue on my LB where the wing magnet glue failed on both sides right out of the box. I've been saying that I would throw a drop of glue in there for at least 2 years but its still not done! LOL! It doesn't make much of a difference anyway, maybe someday I'll fix it (probably not).

I remember those walkman days as well, good times! I remember how crazy excited I was to get G&R Appetite and Def Leppard Hysteria for Xmas one year! I spent like 3 hours in the laundry room in the basement listening to those albums Xmas afternoon because no one would interrupt me in there lol!

I love the BIRBS.

 

I just got these brand new from eBay and the vents popped out.

 

I finally got around to ordering these guys. BBTS still has them if anyone else is looking. They’re a bit big but I’ll make it work, they look great.

 

I still find their sizes to be too big, but ended up ordering them too, so I can have them on their own.

 

Just got these dudes, I love em. I don’t think I’m bothered by the size anymore.

 

I wish this sentiment was more universal.

 

It can make them tricky to place on an MP display shelf and have them scale well but they are great desk toys, especially with the articulated feet. They're not gonna look right on Megatron's arm but can work pretty well in the foreground or on a different vertical plane.

 

Yeah I tried them with the Stunticons since they’re sorta big for the size, they’d still huge but I like it. I’m making an executive decision, going to war against the scale charts!

They need to make a Ratbat! I think he makes even more sense being big because he was leader of the Decepticons in the comic for a while

 

I'm still all in for a Ratbat and the four first-wave Autobot cassettes.

 

Well Buzzard broke immediately while trying to transform him the first time so fuck me I guess. Really puts me off from getting the other MMC tapes

 

Autobot cassettes are no brainer but given how successful the birds were, I am not too confidence w.r..t Ratbat as people will think it may be too big just like the birds.

 

I had that same break with one of my birds. It is way to easy to do if you don't follow the steps in the right order. Fortunately I was able to get a replacement part from MMC.

There are 2 reasons I think it would go better than these birds, though maybe not as well as other cassettes. First is how lacking MP Ratbat was for availability, I assume I don't need to detail that. The other is because I could see people wanting a larger Ratbat to represent the Marvel version of the character who was Decepticon leader for a time. Obviously not every Marvel fan (because everyone agreeing is a myth), but a number of them.

 

I followed the directions exactly, in fact I did this thruster part second. The hinge to fold it upwards appears to be too tight causing it to be locked into place and the plastic just snapped immediately. How did you get the part from MMC? Did you initially buy the figure from PSX or another retailer?
