    Gas Pump Girls (1979) -5/10

Not very good, but for a typical late 70's low budget adult comedy, not bad. Pretty good natured, though of course filled with aspects that don't age well. Most of the main actresses later got featured in 80's slasher-horror era (Friday the 13th Part II, Halloween, ect)

    Child's Play (2019) 8/10

I took off 1 point for killing the nice old lady across the hall. 1 other point for killing the cat. Sure the cat was a dick but too far, dude. Too far.

But it was an entertaining experience. I find the actress who played Andy's mom cute. :3

Now as most of us who saw the original Child's Play as kids possibly found Chuckie to be scary looking. This new Chuckie is just frightful but in a good way. Mark Hamill was brilliant as Chuckie's voice. I remember reading how somebody believed he was gonna give the Joker laugh like every 5 seconds. I never believed he would but Chuckie's mannerisms was just...

Shine chilling. I loved it. Taking it from a spirit possessing a toy doll to a robotic doll with horrific software problems was a great change.

1 and 2 were great. 3 and onward was just lame one after another.

    Deadpool Double Feature

    DP1 - 9/10
    DP2 - 9/10

First time rewatching these since seeing them in the theater. 1 held up just as good as I remember. 2 actually help up better than I remember. Great action and absolutely insane humor in both.

They're both now on Hulu, for those who didn't know.

Those movies are classics. The fourth wall in-jokes just crack me up every damn time. Ryan Reynolds is always funny, but Deadpool is the perfect character for him. Even when things are serious he's an absolute crackup.

Birds of Prey finally hit netflix, so we decided to watch it. 0/10

What a chunk of shit. Couldn't even finish it. Un-fucking-watchable. Terrible as a DC movie, but not even acceptable as its own thing. Horrible in every department. Even aside from how every character other than Harley is nothing more than a name slap. Acting: horrible. Directing: beyond horrible. Story: horrible -- and they try to hide how simple and boring the story is by telling it out of order with really bad and obnoxious narration. I will actively avoid any movie directed or written by whoever inflicted this on humanity. And whatever executive thought this director could direct action should be drummed out of Hollywood. Fucking horrific.

WTF happened?? After stuff like Aquaman and Shazam, I thought WB was turning things around and making movies that were at least acceptable. Inoffensively mediocre. But this was even worse than Suicide Squad. And not just a little worse. This was a dumpster fire. Maybe the second half gets better, but I'll never know. You couldn't pay me to watch any more of this garbage.

edit: Oh, it was the same writer as Bumblebee. Well, that explains a lot.

...I sat down, and watched Amazon's Uncle Frank yesterday and thought that it was a well done film.

    Simon Birch - 5/10

This is a lifelong guilty pleasure of mine. I found a heavily edited upload on YouTube today, but most of the film I remember is still intact. The last time I saw this film was my 8th grade Easter celebration.

Not a masterpiece, but a very comforting film to watch to ease my mind. The soft background piano music, the forests of the north, the light shining through the stained glass of Mother Mary in the town church, the pastel coloured wooden houses, the breezy autumn, and fallen maple leaves all leave me feeling anemoic. That meaning nostalgia for something I never experienced.

I had to Google this. Good grief, what a horrible film! I'd be devastated after watching that mess. Geez...

I've literally been right next to the short fat guy from that scene in Los Angeles. I don't have the strongest desire to speak to actors and celebrities. Maybe I should have said hi anyway?

Interstellar.... what. A . Fucking. Trip. And it made me cry. 10/10

i love movies about space that just really make you think and just fuck your head and that ending really just killed me. it was a great and beautiful movie and for it almost being 3 hours long i would have never even realized it. I really hope there is a sequel.

    Happiest Season 7/10

It’s one of those rich old fashion family visit stories where the parents have to accept the child’s choices because they want to be with someone who is seen as “different”. In this case it’s realizing their daughter is gay. It has a fluffy everything is good and happy ending. But the guest girlfriend character is treated so bad by the family and her girlfriend that it makes no sense that she stuck around by the end.

You rated it higher than I would. It was a rare case of a movie botching the landing so hard that I poked around a bit online to see if I just missed what they were going for. And nope, seems like there's a pretty vocal outcry about how crappy the main girl treated Stewart's character. And a smaller but equally loud call that Stewart should have hooked up with Plaza's character if she wasn't so burnt on the whole relationship thing after being so raked over the coals that she could stomach being with anyone.

In no world would a sane human accept that lying piece of dumpster fire garbage back into their life. No way, no how. And Levy's character came across as a really terrible friend for saying she should after all that. I get that being "different" can be scary, but it's no reason to treat your SO like crap to be scraped off the bottom of your shoe.

It’s a 7 for a Christmas movie which makes it like a 4 if you compared it to normal movies. Lol

That's probably a fair assessment, and the reason I usually skip holiday movies.

I did enjoy Aubrey Plaza and the goofier sister, but the rest of this was eesh followed by cringe.
