Yes. Yes it is. As @loof mentioned below, the price of almost EVERYTHING gets higher over time. These are luxury items, don't forget that. Hasbro doesn't owe you anything. Plus they're doing a better job in most ways, and I seriously doubt a large chunk of the fanbase is being priced out of collecting. Transformers as a brand has only gotten bigger and stronger for pretty much the last 15 years.
