It’s a good thing that this isn’t Airachnid.

I don't even mess with BW, but that Dino Megatron looks amazing. Such an impressive looking figure.

As a young impressionable person who didn't grow up on G1 or BW strictly, rather Prime and Animated, I'm all for BW.

Fair enough. I could google what exactly that character is. I suppose. But it's for a different collector market. Aw, bless.

Maybe they can do a repaint/ retool head based on Airachnid. It won't be accurate to her TFPrime version but it would be her if she had a beast mold.

Warpath steals the show for me.

Primal is better than I was expecting and the pics of Cyclonus here make him look better than the promotional shots.

Everything looks just about as good as I could ask for from the mainline (except maybe that blue on Cheetor). Cyclonus has really surprised me - thought it looked flat and static in the initial shots, but I'm so glad to hear that it's actually really sharp.

Color me confused, though - is Kingdom Leader Prime not preorderable? Guess I could just hop on the Earthrise fig right now since it's identical, but I haven't been able to find the former online anywhere.

These are not re-imaginings. They are straight-up G1/BW designs with better articulation.

I don't know why , But I'm more excited for the remaining G1 characters than the BW characters.

I don’t think he’s been officially revealed yet. You can order a leader class two pack of BW Megs and a “mystery figure” which is almost definitely Prime.

I caught sight of that two-pack on BBTS and TFSource - the latter even names it as Prime, iirc. I had wondered if that was the case, but since it's been showing up in photo galleries like this one already I assumed it must have been revealed officially. Kind of a strange hold-out, since it's a completely unaltered figure from the Earthrise version.

Not transformers finest hour. But I don't mind, I've been well catered to over the years, and I don't mind taking a break.

Over the years I've come to see Floro Dery's TF:TM designs as the pinnacle of character design in the franchise. Whatever one thinks of the writing on Beast Wars, the character designs were not remotely the same calibre. With that in mind, they've done an acceptable job, although in most cases it's not quite enough to sway me. I'll definitely be picking up the Cyclonus, and I might cherry pick from whatever I consider the best of the line. Depends how weak I am.

Everyone in the Kingdom line looks bitchin' so far, I only have a few minor nitpicks about Cyclonus, Cheetor and Rattrap. The Fossilizers are cool figures for sure but I'm still confused on the whole robots turning into skeletons thing, animals, robo-animals and zombie animals I get, bit full blown skeletons is a bit far fetched even for Transformers. Although it will be interesting to see what the show and comic writers will do with the concept, perhaps they'll get me more onboard with these intriguing newcomers to the franchise.

    Cyclonus looks great. Will get.

I kinda want a recolored and retooled into the IDW version with new head, hip guard, chest and sword . Maybe new forearms/ thrusters.

You can say a 3rd party can do an upgrade set but I think the purple comparing this figure to IDW are different. Also I dont think Hasbro has ever made an IDW version yet.

All of these look great but man that core class Rattrap looks so small. Honestly, the Thrilling 30 version scales a lot better with the Kingdom figures. Also, Thrilling 30 Rhinox looks really good with these figures too, man that figure is going to be hard to top.

I'm very back-and-forth on Cyclonus. His chunky legs and weirdly mushy face are really off-putting to me. I did a quick digibash of one of the photos here that fixes some of my gripes with the face. If anyone thinks similarly I might try and put my limited 3D modelling skills to use at some point in the future.
