Unless they find a work around for the to high step count it's a dead concept so yeah no Devcon ever in SS

 

I think they can work with overlord's mold for the mass.
Replace the grinder with the canon/misisle thing and make the vehicle shorter.

Where's the source that Devcon isn't happening? A lot of people want him to be a commander but judging by his size in the movie he's not the tallest bot but he's a long bot which I honestly think his figure could be achieved via a leader. Wheather he's "too obscure" or not is honestly debatable this is Studio Series we're talking about this is the same line that gave us SS Shadow Raider and Thundercracker one character who is barely recognizable from his actual onscreen appearance (if a casual moviegoer could even identify him on screen as they were pretty obscure and only in the movie for a few minutes) and Thundercracker who didn't even show up in the movies and was more of a reference to the DoTM toyline. So I think for a character that actually appeared on screen for a short amount of time has a slight chance of happening.

 

If you're speaking about Siege Jetfire, keep in mind that G1 toys are boxy and most of the alt mode us clearly visible in robot mode, which not only requires less paneling folding, less steps, but also less attempt to try to hide the alt mode bits.

Whereas Bayverse toys try to do the complete opposite. So yes, Devcon would have a higher part count.

Aah, I gotcha. My bad then. But if they go for accuracy, he'd have a bunch of panels to make thec arms as possible. BUUUT, I can definitely see your point in comparing him to Jetfire.

 

I think it will be Strafe. We've already had two different Scorn mainline molds.

 

yea both would be large leaders but ss is full of those. every leader besides dotm prime and megs are large leaders

that same argument could’ve been made for grimlock tho.

 

Hopefully Strafe he's probably my second favorite Bay Dinobot design next to Grimlock hopefully he's big enough to fit Bumblebee and Stinger on his back.

 

Grimlock is a more prominent character though, and he featured more heavily in the film's marketing.

that’s true but tbf dinobots were the biggest part of the marketing for aoe. but tbh i don’t think we’ll see another dinobot til at least 2023. 2021 is mostly ss86 and 2022 is gonna be for the new movie.

 

IDK we may see a few Bayverse bots during 2022 because back in 2018 when Bumblebee was the new movie we only got a few figures from that movie. Now granted there are a few variables that we don't know of for example the Hasbro could already be working on the new movie's figures now to coincide with the new movie's release. Another possible variable is there are less designs in this movie that they will make into SS figures though I don't think this one is likely because I theorize that the background Autobots and Decepticons will make a bigger appearance in this movies so to all the people asking for a Bumblebee movie Soundwave I think it will happen in this movie. That said It's definitely too soon to tell who will appear in the movie and who will get figures. Given the outcry for more Bayverse Dinos I think we'll at least see one Dinobot in 2022.

 

that’s true but theres only like 5 main characters in bumblebee that are transformers. another reason they waited on making ss bb toys was to have the ilm files instead of toys based on concept art.

 

Not sure it that's entirely true because SS car Shatter had the concept head sculpt and you could make the argument that SS 18 Bumblebee's car door wings were based off the early concept. I honestly don't know how Hasbro decides which characters to release in a wave and when to do it but you can count on Hasbro capitalizing on the 2022 movie in the SS line.
