Because that promo didn't start until yesterday. I am frustrated that the Elf Club House is still out of stock. It's the only other thing I was looking to get this year. Didn't want to miss the Christmas GWP though so I ordered Tantive IV again and will return the first one for store credit, hopefully get the club house and wreath in store even without the GWP. Otherwise I'll use the credit for the Lunar New Year sets instead. Edit: Elf Club House back in stock, got my order in!
Been waiting for a nice GWP (and the double points was a welcome bonus) and bought the Book store (and the Lady Liberty brickhead for my gf). Still in doubt if I should also get the Tantive IV (I like the ship, I like the look, but I lament the lack of usable interior space) and the Mandalorian's ship (like the look, but I've not been able to see the series yet, so no connection). I consider myself a wannabe city builder. As in, I've got two modulars (soon three), three creator houses, a Harry Potter house, some roads with cars, and a train around it...but I want it to be more, much more. I'm of two minds about this new system. On the one hand I've always disliked large parts, lamenting that I don't get the chance to build the piece myself. So this is great because now you actually get to build the streets. Plus it has the great benefit of making railroad tracks fit better, because with the current system the tracks go over the road (quite a bit even) and now they're more regressed. But on the negative side, as said, the buildings are on thin base plates which means buildings and walkways are lower than the streets (and streets should be lower than houses). This requires buildings and walkways to be build on an elevation (two plates or more likely four). That can be nice (especially with water on a regular base plate or allow for room under a house), but it can also be troublesome because stacking plates start to warp (I also noticed this with a 3rd party "baseplate" that was the thickness of a regular plate and bulges up in the centre). Honestly, my first thought was to quickly buy some current streets plates to insure I will have enough. But I am seeing the advantages.
Anyone near a Lego store that has the wreaths in stock and can help me get 1-2? May help get you to a GWP threshold and you get VIP points!
After the pirate ship, space rover and now this, Creator has really become my favorite theme. I appreciate the callbacks to Lego's original IPs. If the trend continues, I wouldn't be surprised if we see something Castle related in the future!
My Lego store is sold out of the charles dickens sets but they are still available online. I ordered the rise of skywalker millenium falcon. I was able to get the charles dickens set and double vip points. This will be my first lego millenium falcon.
Four 2021 Star Wars sets revealed!! New Star Wars sets. I... am actually kinda wanting the X-Wing and Tie. I know they've been done to death by now, but these seem to be in a smaller scale compared to older iterations, and I've really been itching for smaller-sized starfighters. They look super fun!
My 4 year old daughter loves the Disney Lego sets.I'll be grabbing her the Elsa Castle book and Cinderellas coach for sure. Hope they tackle some other disney characters for the booksets though, that's two Frozen themed ones now. Aladdin and Tangled would do well.
I bought the last X-wing and TIE fighter released, but I must admit that I'm very much interested in these new ones. Outside of getting the Leia figure (outside of the expensive Tantive set), I also like that these ships are smaller. Plus the X-wing has a new, less obtrusive activator for the S foils.
I know Lego likes to keep certain sets relevant, but I still see the old X-Wing on shelves, and that TIE feels virtually identical, yet still somehow inferior, to the Solo one. This was a great opportunity to fix the biggest issue with that one, being the lack of grey supports inside the wings, and they wasted it. I do like the creativity of the new cannon builds on the X-Wing, though I feel like they're not actually any more accurate. The ship overall looks simpler and less interesting and accurate, especially if that's really as far down R2 can go.
Not interested in the X-Wing at all, but that Tie kind of has my eye more so for the minifigures though. Don't get me wrong it looks like a nice build, I just would have preferred an Interceptor over the standard Tie Fighter. Okay another Microfighter MF this time in more OT flavor? Yay I guess, I'm all for it means we actually get more. Still want a chubby baby B-Wing for the shelf...just saying.
I passed on Von Reng's Interceptor solely because I thought it'd be inevitable that we'd get that build in traditional grey. Now I'm really wishing I'd picked it up.
ugh, I get what they are trying to do with the smaller scale SW ships but no thanks that's also the third version of the Cinderella coach, I think the second release one was the best version so far so far looks like I will be saving lots of money
it would be cool if the tie fighter's wings folded like in the mandalorian did tie fighters do that before? i'm not huge into star wars so that was a new thing to me
