I don’t care why they do it. As you pointed out in your initial reply - it’s just my opinion, man. And the reason behind the shipping costs is immaterial to my opinion here. My experiences to date have been that a DX Valkyrie can ship via DHL for around $40. So what about "this seems reasonable based on the experience of myself and others who have seen similar shipping costs, so paying notably more than this seems unreasonable, and is more than you should pay" offends you so? Do you think, if you could show that they were just "passing on the cost" that I would suddenly change my mind and say "well, yes, obviously they're just passing along the costs, so it's totally reasonable to pay $50 to ship that little accessory pack instead of $25 somewhere else"? (I would not). You clearly do not like that I have a different opinion than you and you need to pick a fight over it. Again. But what I don’t understand is why you are even trying to defend any stores and their shipping rates. Do you like paying more for shipping? Does it offend you that I do not? Has it hurt you that I find $40 reasonable, based on my experiences shopping from 5 different sites over the last 7-8 months and that I will not shop someplace that charges me notably more? And that I have shared that opinion with others here in a discussion about shipping prices? "Where I come from" we don't get upset when someone has a different opinion. And we also like to share our experiences with others if it means we can help someone out, for instance, by recommending they save some money on shipping costs by buying somewhere else.
Yeah I dont know if you will find one that cheap. unless a gen 1 Yamma and those things dont hold up that well. I have one that is just a floppy mess with paint chips from just sitting on a shelf. I just found a DX full set for just over $300 and cant wait too get it in hand next week. I just saw a couple on ebay that are US sellers with some for a decent price. @OmegaTaco Supreme Heh, I’d normally suggest avoiding the 1/72 but if someone is already looking for a knockoff, the quality of the figure probably isn’t a concern.
Oh I agree. some of my first Macross figures I got were the 1/72's my first editions Roy DYRL and VF-19A. Had them since about 2001. Both are terrible outside of fighter mode. The joints did not hold up that well over the years, but if someone is really hurting for a Y/VF-19 the 1/72's are a option. If they get the later releases they were a lot better then these.
And it's my opinion that people that accuse other people of things like "ripping people" off needs to back that up. I'm old school though. I believe in personal responsibility and being a man about thing. It's just my opinion man.........
I said “overcharging”. which means “charging too much”. which is subjective. if you don’t like the word I used, substitute your own. But it’s still too much to pay, in my opinion.

Can anyone remember the last DX pre-order last year at roughly the same time? This year has gone by too quickly and it looks like DX YF-21 will be March/April pre-order madness. The YF-19 came in 1/60 and model kit form. The 1/48 scale are the VF-1 both from Yammie and Bandai DX.

DX YF- 19 Full Set will cost you around ¥30k-ish think right now. The qualify us very good and a fair amount of us already have it, however the tampographs are overkill. If you want a decent no frills YF-19 then get the Aracdia version (your going to need a bottle of Kiki joint tightener) or the DX YF-19 Advanced.
So glad I got my full set when I did, there was a run on yahoojp, so I was able to get one for $260 shipped. Revealing the vf-21 was the icing on the cake.
The Tampographs is what made me really want to get the full set. Glad I found one a for a good price stateside. When is the 21 going up for pre-order? or is that boat already sailed.
