Lol, no offense meant to PrimeVsPrime but in his review when he says that the DS Scavenger's robot is better than the SS, I bit my tongue. Vehiclewise, it knocks the SS out of the water but that Robot sucks.

Honestly, I watch his reviews muted since I feel like he's always too hyped with the figures and all the input is too repetitive. I like watching the transformations tho, plus he's usually early with the 3p reviews.

 

I can honestly see where you are coming from. To be honest I was going to cut it out when editing but had to give you my honest thoughts. I really didnt think the robot mode looked great looking at the promo images but in hand, the presence it has as well as the paint really is impressive (to me at least)
Combined mode is really where I think these DS figures hit though

 

I totally get that! I think what kills it for me are the wheels being so small and the head. Though I bet that, like you said, the presence of it in person is great.

 

It seems that if the non-screen-accurate wheel size doesn’t bother you then this will be a very satisfying figure.
I paid my balance today with a sense of obligation just to complete the set so I have that gorgeous monster all combined but now I’m actually looking forward to this arriving and even to display it in bot mode till the final components arrive and it will then the rest of its existence as a pair of shoulders.

 

I plan on displaying my DS Troublemaker/Devastator beside my Toyworld Devastator. Gosh, you couldn't pick 2 more polar opposites to bear the name Devastator. Toyworld's is an excellent homage to a generation squarely in the 80's style. And Bombusbee is a striking semblance of the Bay-styled movie characters. Still trying to decide if I'll have Troublemaker upright on 2 legs or lumbering on all 4 like a monstrous ogre or troll.

I'm new to this particular thread because my Split arrived two days ago, and honestly it's not aaaasss bad as i expected it to be, but I just got around to transforming him today and @PrimeVsPrime 's video helped through the whole process!


Am I the only one who didn't completely hate this transformation? i didn't have a horrible time doing it to be honest

 

Agreed on everything.
Split transformation was long reaaally long and primevprime video helped a lot. I thought it was the most clear tutorial on YouTube. Devil saviour notice was also verry clear I thought (maybe I am too novice).

Even with all that i had more fun than some other third party, (there is always a step in iron factory that scares me to death, and I just gave up on some dx9 dinobots), and I never was afraid to break it.

 

Can anyone who has Giant Ax already confirm the strength and stability of the connection with Split? Curious to know how well they join together in combined mode.

Ben (KOllectibles) combined him in his review, and it seems pretty solid. It's a chonky CW style connector on a strong ratchet, and then a small c-clip to keep the back end in place.

 

Has anyone received a shipping notification on their Giant Axe preorder from Showzstore? I paid the balance on mine on the 11th, and it's still showing as "waiting for release". It's my first preorder from them, just wondering if there's typically a wait - especially since it's showing as "in stock" on their website. Thanks!

There can be some Delays on other Orders.

The overall Shop System works like this:

They Ship out the ones that are fully paid first, and after that, in Order of Payment received.

I have paid looong before Release.
Like I always do, mostly Instant shortly after I placed the Pre Order.
To ensure my Package is among the first ones.

So If someone pays only when the reminder Balance Email comes in, you will be pushed back into the waiting Line.
While the others who paid earlier, will be send first.

That is how the System works.
Fast Payment, First / Fast Shipping.

So there can be Delays for People who pay on last Minute. Because they work on the Orders that are Fully Paid first.

But, there is also some normal
