Do you think you could explain your mindset in a way that doesn't make you sound completely untethered from reality? Genuinely curious here.

I don't know if this was mentioned before but it would be cool if the upcoming Kingdom Galvatron has an alt-mode that resembles the Decepticon ship he had in the 86 movie with all the accessories he supposedly comes with.

I'm torn between being appreciative of the variety of figures offered in this release and feeling selfishly frustrated that BW characters are diluting my options.

/sarcasticrantoff. I'm truly glad you Beasties are getting some love, even if I personally rank BW down there with MLP.

Have you watched either of those series? Frankly, they are both better than they have any right to be.

Yeah that would be really impressive, but is God Ginrai actually classed as being a cybertronian form? I always thought Powermaster Prime at least had a pretty earth based alt mode.

And reading back @catz ’s hints, is it an actual toy from G1 being reissued that we’re talking about, or a retool/repaint of a more recent Transformers Generations toy into someone from G1 (with a cybertronian alt mode)

He could have snap on additional parts (like Astrotrain / Shockwave etc) like wings to homage his Energon form. That’d be pretty cool.

Yes, given the general praise it receives, I've tried watching it multiple times and discussed it on here under another topic heading. I can tell the writing is good, but I can't get past the barren animation, exaggerated accents, child-focused dialogue, and most significantly, the premise. Mechanicals turning into organics? Nah, that's too much for me. I gave it a few tries and just couldn't stomach it.

What's the furthest you got? The dialogue improves dramatically over the course of about 6 episodes, and the plot of season 2 is just incredible.

In terms of mechanicals turning into organics, I don't see that as any stranger as organics adding mechanical parts to their bodies (cyborgs). If organics are able to make use of technology to improve their lives, why not technological beings make use of organics to improve theirs?

You wouldn't happen to be able to hint towards Blaster and his cassettes, would you?

Edit: What apparently didn't completely finish in my original statement is that "I can tell the WRITING is good."

I did not get to the sixth episode. Honestly, I don't give any series of any genre that much opportunity to prove itself. I mean, if a friend recommends a restaurant, I don't keep going back if the food isn't palatable, no matter how creative the menu might appear, or how nice the atmosphere. If I don't like it, I don't punish myself by continuing. I mean, in this case the reward is supposed to be "entertainment", and if I'm not entertained, what's the point?

Seriously, I get that many people enjoy BW and I completely respect that. I do like poking fun, but I'm a geewunner, so I take as much as I give. I genuinely appreciate the variety within TF fandom, but I don't have to like it to do so. To each his/her own-- if you enjoy BW, great! I find it completely unappealing.

I know a few people with that mentality, but there are so many TV series that improve so dramatically that you really lose out if you need it to be good episode 1. Star Trek: Next Generation has a terrible first season. Great comedies like The Office and Parks and recerations have rough first seasons. I really didn't enjoy Community until halfway through season one. Agents of SHIELD. It took me months to get through the first 6 episodes of The Expanse, and then days to finish the first and second seaason.

A TV series just isn't a restaurant. It takes time for the writers, directors and actors to all learn the characters and the story well enough to all come together to make everything cohesive and good.

I mean, you don't have to do anything. I'm not like, angry at you or anything. Not insulting you. These are just my thoughts as a result of your thoughts as a result of my thoughts. But as a G1 fan, Beast Wars is a direct sequel, and without spoiling anything, there are strong ties to the G1 series. The second season of Beast Wars has something for everyone. Sometimes being patient and investing in something has payoffs.

I’d expect them to be in SS86 wave 2, or 3 at a push, along with Perceptor, seeing how prominently featured they were in TFTM.

I don’t know when I had this thought or if I read it somewhere on this forum, but the concept of robots being able to turn into artificial organic animals makes much more sense in the context of this franchise if you view it as a successor to the Pretender technology.

Instead of taking on a shell that needs to be cast off for transformation the shell is completely incorporated into the Transformer and its altmode is simply a frame for it.

I like this idea a lot because it further connects BW with G1, even aspects of it that weren't in the cartoon, and it makes sense given that BW is set in a future where the Transformers have been modified into smaller but more advanced bodies. A plus of which being a built in, perfected Pretender-like ability to fabricate artificial organic matter for mimicking organic life.
