I think a standalone thing referencing Armada nemesis prime do to the fact nemesis prime didnt have a character back in 2013 outside of clone of optimus. So I think Loyal subjects pulled stuff from Armada nemesis prime to pad out the bio

 

I doubt it was intentional but the Seacons always kind of gave me Dagon vibes.

The Vok are textbook Lovecraft right down to their muddy motivation.

Well, you've got Ramjet (Universe) - Transformers Wiki who after things really went wrong ended up before an Elder God - Transformers Wiki who "played" with him, leaving him in a state of being and unbeing, perverting the very nature of existence around him.

You've got the Titan, Dweller (Cyberverse) - Transformers Wiki who is about as Lovecraftian as they get.

As a whole, you've got the Blentron - Transformers Wiki the cult of twisted creatures worshipping a long dead ancient god who will kill them all.

The G1 episode, The Dweller in the Depths - Transformers Wiki is pretty much a watered down Lovecraftian horror story.

Hearts of Steel is full of mythos references.

Infestation 2 is a full on Mythos based series, with Elder Gods influencing H.P. Lovecraft and so forth.

 

the trans-organics from "dweller in the depths" felt that way

plus cyberverse remade dweller to being a Cthulhu-looking titan.

I suppose I would classify the Vok, Elder Gods, Armada Nemesis Prime, Some G1 Nemesis Primes, the Japanese G1 villains, Devil Z and Violen Jiger, RAZORCLAW, and Dweller as Lovecraftian...Possibly even some portrayals of certain Pretenders. We also have D-Void, the transwarp space monsters, and I guess those things from IDW1’s crossover.

 

I think TFC Toys recent version of the Terrorcons could work as this:


My interpretation of them is they and Monstructor were a cosmic horrors that Primus trapped in protoforms, which the Fallen used as his generals in his war against the Primes.

 

Surprised not to see Tornedron yet. A being of pure energy, made by Unicrons creator to be more powerful than the Chaos Bringer but without having any of the flaws a corporeal form would bring. If the original episode/execution didn't suck, Tornedron would be utterly fascinating to see again in a new context

 

grimlock reversing the switch on the tornetrons control panel was hillarious though

 

More minor one, but I've always found UT Cybertron Sideways utter lack of a face a bit creepy (unless you consider the recesses his eyes and the orange void his mouth, which isn't much better)
