In trying to fit with my scale here, what Ironhide scales better with this figure? The MPM or Black Mamba KO? Does anyone have any pictures of either of the two in comparison with Prime?

Doesn't look too promising for Black Apple's Ironhide unfortunately.

I think it depends on what you're trying to pull off. If you want to have the most screen accurate version of these characters, then I think the BMB version is the way to go. But, if you want to mess with the figure from time to time, I'd get the MpM version and add the upgrade kit that locks his shoulders in together.

 

The BMB scales better.

In that case, you might wanna look into buying on Taobao. It's not an English site so you do need to learn how to navigate and buy from it. The odds are best getting it from there but there's no avoiding a GARGANTUAN late fee on top of another GARGANTUAN rarity fee.

 

I personally really like BMB Ironhide + BA Prime together. Not that I have much choice since WJ is dead  

 

I know someone who is trying out that method. If I'm not able to find an alternative, then I'll definitely try that route if the guy I know gets his figure in with no problem.

 

And here I am, I sold mine a month before he was “rare” for $110 flat to a board member. I’m happy to have helped him out, but $400 (too much imo) sounds nice.

 

$110 at the moment for this figure is a steal! But this figure has been rare for awhile now, ever since WJ got shut down

 

Which head should I get? The DMS or Capcomkai v2?

DMS looks chunkier but I am not sure if the long neck of the v2 will look odd if I decide to do the chest mod at some point.

Also, I only recently realized that I got two identical (rather than mirrored) parts on the guns that prevent one from fitting in truck mode. Any ideas on how to remedy?

 

There's no parts available so the only option is to make your own part. I recommend using styrene sheets to make the proper mirrored part since it's small, simple to fab, and looks to be screwed in place.

1. it's far more accurate.
2. It's highly unlikely, but weird things happen in the 3p world.

LS-03 sucks. I hate that it's compared to BA Prime like an equal. It has more accessories, but that doesn't make it better.

 

It fits the definition of "OSKO" much better than BA Prime does. BA Prime is maybe 30% new, while LS-03 is maybe 5% new? And WAYYYY too big from what I've seen in pics. If they had made those same improvements in a 1:1 KO of MPM4 I would definitely have gotten it, but at that size I have no need for it.

 

Well, he's a 70$ toy compared to a 400$ BA Prime, and I'm not comparing them in terms of quality, I asked why people wanted this more than LS-03 because both are similar but the price tag is totally different, just that

 

BA Prime is 400$ because there is only limited quantity and WJ is down, which means no further production. Originally I got mine for about a 100$ from ShowZ and 12 months later could possibly sell it for twice that but I don't want to. I like this thing because it looks great and has some very clever and unique engineering like compressed back wheels and integrated guns, which none of the previous figures had.
I guess people want it more because it's quite humane to desire things that are scarce and beautiful and BMB is still available at multiple stores.

 

They really aren't similar though. LS-03 and MPM-4 are similar. When you do a side-by-side comparison of BA Prime with LS-03 and the CGI, you can see how different they are.

 

But their not the same. WJ BA Prime is almost it’s own mold because of how much they tweaked and ch she things. LS-03 is just a OS MpM-04 with better paint with minimal changes to the sculpt.
