    For what it's worth, Takara released a version with the g1 head back in 2014 called Movie Advanced Series Deluxe Wheeljack. It was an Aeon Exclusive. It's rare as hell but it's better than nothing I guess.

    As a yungyun, Animated Hot Shot for sure. As of now? Probably BM Deluxe Obsidian. Poor dude deserved better.

    The Henkei (possibly KO) Classics Blue Bumblebee and Detritus! There was at least three ebay auctions for Bumblebee back in the day that I tried but failed to win for him. The Blue Bumblebee would have gone into my Microchange/Microman classics collection and Hasbro/Takara hasn't repainted a Hound mold into Junkion Detritus since the G1 E-Hobby toy. All will be forgiven if Hasbro will give us the repaints from Siege Hound and Earthrise Bumblebee!

    Shut the front door! I bought one MOSC at Botcon 2015 from one of the Japanese dealers for like $40! On a whim! Just 'cause I was like "yeah, sure, why not"! :eek:

    That $5000 one looks to be an actual packaged sample of the cancelled DotM release. There's a listing of the Takara exclusive for ~$210 shipped from Italy.

    It was the one in the picture up there, the Aeon exclusive G1-decoed Wheeljack. The guy didn't have it under glass or security guards or anything, it was just sitting there on the table.

    Honestly, I don't know. It could be a prototype package test, or it could be a production sample that managed to get made before the toy was cancelled. Either way, it seems like a rare find.

    Although I don't care about movie toys I was interested in the DotM deluxe Soundwave repaint to Blaster. As a Marvel fan I've always seen Blaster as more agile and to me that figure was exactly what I want a Blaster that transforms into car to be.


    A kitbasher actually scratch built it and it looked amazing. Such an incredible shame that it was never produced.

    I want this a ton too, I really do, but on the other hand I enjoy the streak he's been running of showing up on every fan vote continuously and NEVER EVER getting a win. Poor guy.

    Tough call. I remember a fair number of cancelled toys and this thread reminded me of a few more. Top 3, in no particular order:

    Alternators/Binaltech Bumblebee
    second wave of Machine Wars (was rumored to have Ultra Magnus and Galvatron...but from what molds?)
    US release of GoBots Snoop
