Just got it. First thoughts, neat. 9.2/10. I'll hopefully have a more in depth text review soon.

Just got Runamuck, and I fixed the fake wheels. It isn't a perfect match, but it's certainly better than plain black plastic.

A very solid deluxe figure, pleasantly surprised. Only qualms so far are sloppy paint apps on my sample and the painted tabs increased the tolerances so it can be hard to get the parts flush in car mode.

For some reason I cannot recall, I completely dismissed this figure when it was revealed and paid little attention to it until recently. My copy arrived yesterday afternoon from amazon and I could not be more pleased with it; fake windows, wheels, white deco and all. Now I just hope I did not miss the boat with his partner.

I need to make a stopper somehow for mine , as the left leg falls off due to the mushroom peg popping out everytime I move it.

Cool fig though. I feel I gotta wash my hands before messing with him or Arcee.

Is Runabout supposed to be out yet?

I was at a Target by me in NJ a few days ago, and they had about 12 of them on the shelf. At the time I had no interest in getting the pair. So I passed.

After picking up Runamuck today at a different Target, I figured I'd pick up the pair. I went back to that Target, and all 12 (or so) were gone.

Hmmmmmm? Odd? I am guessing some scalper noticed this is out early and bought them all up. No way THAT many people came to buy one seperately.

    Whatever.

I found a lot of the roof tabbing issues in car mode has to do with the waist swivel not being perfectly straight; along with the way the door panels secure. They definitely need to be as straight as possible; use the gold streak to line it up visually.

Hey so I'm having trouble with my Runamuck. In bot mode he's fine, but when I transform him to alt mode either his hips wont line up straight or lay flat. Anyone else have this problem? Is there something I'm missing? Is there a solution?

    That's a user error thing.
You're way out of alignment because you didn't push/collapse them in enough.

You will also hear a CLICK when you collapse the first part of the legs, and then you'll hear another click when you push the part with the faux wheels in place.

Your right hip is also wildly out of place.

I'd say you're about 15 out of 100% there based on these photos.

Is Runamuck the mold that will become Tracks eventually?

I get the feeling they wont. First of all with the focus on g1 accuracy, tracks would be much thinner and taller then the runabros. Secondly the runabro mold is from the fan vote, so I feel like it isnt going to be considered for retools so quickly.
(Also tracks has a much thinner altmode so I feel like he'd be able to use his canopy as his actual chest.,)

    Ah nice.

I was concerned about the lack of a sleek bot mode too. But I assumed it was going to be him based off of the head canopy part.

Got mine today, doesn’t really tab together well because he is caked in white paint. The white paint has a bunch of imperfections as well.

Between the heavy paint and all the clear plastic, I hope he holds up over time.

I just received my Runamuck, today and where I really like the mold and the design, the execution leaves much to be desired.
Right out of the package one of the legs popped off at the hip mushroom peg. Both the arms wont rotate like their supposed to and the thigh swivels feel mike their catching on something.

Is there a fix for the mushroom pegs that tend to pop out?

OK...having pulled off the arms and legs and cleaning up A TON of excess plastic on the mushroom pegs, the limbs swivel so much better. Transformation went well and everything clicked into place nicely.
I'm quite relieved, this has been one of my most anticipated figures, and my right out of the package impression was less than stellar.

Update: On my figure gbm was right about the knee piece not tapping into the shin, but even when I press hard and tap it into place, it won't stay in there, and I don't know why.

I just want to add a comment about the beautiful flat white coat of paint covering nearly all of the figure. It’s gorgeous and it’s only something I expected from the Masterpiece line. The flat white has a premium look to it. Where unpainted plastic and especially some with semi translucent qualities look soft and unsubstantial, but the opaque paint gives a solid look. Add in the heavy G1 cartoon inspired look and you have a Masterpiece Lite figure. I love it. Let’s hope Runabout’s black will look just as nice.

Yeah just got mine in. Apart from a paint blemish on his chest (this is what happens in lockdown when you can't choose off the shelf yourself!) he's a cool little figure with lots of G1 inspired love in the design. I do like this mainstream MP-lite direction HasTak has gone in!

Count me as one who appreciates the four-wheeled feet (a key character feature) even if I would have preferred an extra part or two that would have allowed the real rear wheels to end up there. As for reuse of the mold, forget Tracks, gimmie some Throttlebots!!

There's one missed trick though - the rear wheels pop off quite easily, and my first thought was to do this:

    Runamuck.jpg

There's a promising 'click' as they go in the hole in the faux wheel. Sadly it's not secure and they ping out at the slightest touch! Almost a genius design there, Hasbro!
