My personal preference of Switch controller is an 8bitdo Specifically, an SN-30 Pro+. Can't turn the system on, but has gyro, rumble, a damn nice battery life (and you can take out the pack and replace it with AAs to keep going if it runs dry), and I vastly prefer the Dual Shock style analog arrangement to the X-Box/Switch arrangement.

I appreciate the warning. Especially since I'm not getting mine until my birthday.

A credible leader has leaked alot of possible releases. With all the delays and Nintendo's infrequent directs, it's totally possible. Take it with a grain of salt.
    • A Famicom Detective Club remake and localized. 2021 Q2 release.
    • Bayonetta 3 for a mid 2021 release.
    • A Pikmin game for 2021.
    • Donkey Kong Country 6.
    • New IPs.
    • A Wario Land: Shake It! remake and a possible sequel.
    • Metroid 2D game for Switch.
    • Metroid Prime: Collection.
    • WarioWare game.
    • Paper Mario 64 remake.
    • New Advanced Wars.
    • Pokemon Presentation: Gen 4 remakes, Pokemon Snap, and a Let's Go sequel. Also a possible Detective Pikachu sequel.
    • A Zelda BOTW sequel will be released April 2021, alongside a new Switch. Also a re-release of the Wii U games, a HD Collection and a remake of Oracles.

Sound like wishlisting to me, especially for a single year.

If it is legit though then I'd be in for Famicom Detective Club, Bayo, Metroid and WarioWare.

I swear to Arceus, if a gen 4 remake ever comes out, those people who have hyped it to death will just end up being disappointed cause they've had years to create a unreachable standard for what they want this game to be. I bet you the underground and battle frontier will not be implemented the same too, with how ORAS was handled.

Then it will just be years of "Gamefreak ruined Gen 4/I'm disapointed in the DPP remakes"

Then on top of that, not a day past after it gets revealed (if ever), we will just get those same people wanting gen 5 remakes.

Which I must add here, those fans who complain about the simplicity, shortness, small dex and more kid friendly/weaker villain motives of current Pokemon games, are the ones who trashed on gen 5 for the opposite.

Hmm. I think there's a decent chance for Pikmin 4 (which has been rumored to be basically complete for a while now) and the Metroid trilogy. I don't see the BOTW sequel coming out till late in the year; they need to give AOC some time to sell through.

I highly doubt they'd omit the underground. Sounds like the best way they can implement Dynamax. ORAS did include Secret Bases and improved on that concept so I don't see why GameFreak would omit that. Battle Frontier? Yeah that shit is gone.

I am skeptical of the gen 4 remakes, Let's Go sequel, and Paper Mario 64 remake.

A Let's Go treatment of gen 4? That I could see. A new Let's Go style game that isn't gen 4 related at all? That, on its own, I could also see. But the idea of both happening in the same year strikes me as mutually detracting potentially. The whole point of Let's Go was a slightly more casual, fun, fresh coat of paint approach to classic Pokemon games. Doing another of those, and a gen 4 remake that players will then compare it to and vice-a-versa, feels a bit "fan list of leaks" and not credible to me, despite the source. Plus it would mean they now have three different branches of Pokemon games on Switch. 1) Let's Go style games. 2) Remakes of classic Pokemon games that aren't Let's Go style games. And 3) the full fat 3D "new" Pokemon games like Sword and Shield. Just doesn't sound realistic to me personally, but I could be wrong.

Zelda HD collection I can kind of see happening, in a minimalistic way similar to Super Mario 3D All Stars. Though the more games they put out like that, the less incentive there is for them to ever raise their Online service fees and add more games to that. So I'm not sure what the strategy is there.

Paper Mario 64 remake, that I also just don't see. A remake requires a lot more resources than simply releasing the game as is or a simple upscale or what not. And they've made it abundantly clear they don't want to go back to the design of the original two games. So with Origami King being their most successful installment to date, I feel like they are vindicated in that approach, even if I'm not a fan of the direction for the series. And so a full on remake just seems unlikely to me. Why spend all this time in interviews justifying the design of the newer games, sell more copies than ever before with said new games, and then spend resources on fully remaking the original game that fans (presumably a small minority of loud fans given how successful the new one was) have been clamoring for?

I also agree w/Mark that BotW sequel will be a Holiday 2021 game in all likelihood.

So yeah I find this leak/rumor suspect personally for those reasons. Everything else sounds reasonable, but those few things call the whole thing into question for me. We'll see, of course.

Metroid Prime Trilogy for Switch has been totally coming for like 2 years now. As much as I want it to come, I'm not believing it until Nintendo announces it themselves.

BOTW made me a Zelda fan. I am beyond hyped for AoC and BOTW 2. I am holding out on hope that OoT 3D and MM 3D get upscaled to HD and not the N64 versions (well maybe N64 for MM so we can have proper Zora swimming and Deku pond skips) on the Switch. But the realist in me says "It's gonna be exactly like Mario 3D All Stars. Something like The Triforce Collection OoT N64, WW GC, and TP Wii. 2 upscaled to 1080 and will keep their original framerates." If the realistic prediction happens, I'm just gonna get OoT and MM and play on my 3DS.

I'm not familiar with the "3D" versions of OOT and MM (only have the OG Wii bonus disk versions) but I expect it would be a lot of work to do a true HD version. Agree that it will be like Mario 3D.

I think it's obvious COVID messed up a lot of planning, hence the lack of directs or BOTW2 updates.

    2021/22 should be better.

Supposedly, the leak is that it's a port - possibly an HD version - of Samus Returns.
I'm not believing anything until there's an official announcement from Nintendo themselves.

So I have a question. I currently just got a micro SD card for the Switch. Can I still play the same save data on the switch while it is stored on the SD card?

In the midst of redownloading some games to transfer and wanted to know.
