Am I wrong for preferring the 200x figures...?
I will admit the temptation is there but I know display would be another issue! It’s also not like I can argue with the missus that I can transform them and enjoy the engineering...

Just boxed up all the CHUG toys I've bought since March, that's... quite a lot of toys. Combined with Star Wars, MOTWWEU, MOTU Origins and Spider-man Retro Legends, it's a full house. Haven't bought much Lego which helps a bit and barely buying any comics these days.

Close to having the toy room a place where I can hang out, but theres so many boxes of instructions, weapons, parts, broken toys, half finished customs and 3P boxes it's still insane.

Still, nice to see some old favourites...

Just sneak them in.... say they are human/bad guy counterparts for the Robots!

I had loads of MOTU stuff as a kid and can’t remember what happened to it, I think it may have been given away when we moved back in the day when I was a kid - these are right in the nostalgia feels for me. Another nod to the VHS discussion yesterday, I had a MOTU vhs, it was a purple cover and that was played as much as my TF ones at points.

I also prefer the 2002 figures, those redesigns are fantastic but not only that, the story gets in to a lot more detail. Opening with Randor and Keldor, King Grayskull, the origins of Teela. Plus the voice acting is much better than the original, with the obvious exception of Alan Opennheimer. Its a mini-Beast Wars reunion with writers and voice guys.

Plus, Adam and He-Man dont look identical which is a big help.

I cannot remember who the hell I preordered Runabout and Black Roritchi from. Whoops. I know Sandstorm was with ID. Actually, I can’t remember who Cordon and Spinout are with either. Bollocks.

So I see Marvel Legends are doing a HOXPOX Cyclops before they bother to do a solo rerelease of classic Cyke, the absolute swines!!

Man I'm jelly of that grandus, he's the big missing piece in my jap collection and I've been looking years. Considering attempting to 3d model one up at this point.

I'd say buy a Dagbase and custom from there, but even that can be £300+ now!

Well had my Runamuck request for payment, but still no sign of my Runabout. I had the despatch email on Friday 6th at half three, so there's a chance it didn't actually ship until the Monday. I'll give it another couple of days and then I'll have to contact them.

Totally regret passing on dagbase from toyfu, did one lap of the dealer room and he was gone. That being said Im a big fan of the gimmick where he connects to star convoy in alt mode and mounts skygarry on his back so 3d modelling one up may be the best option. He's quite the brick at least and no mouth or nose so may be a fun and manageable project.

Also let me add to the 200x he-man cartoon love. Wasn't ever really fussed about he-man but that toon was epic.

That cartoon was just fantastic, it's a shame the figures were never gonna find favour with kids with those designs, much as I like them.

They should use that cartoon as the basis of the new movie. I actually wrote something approaching a script treatment years ago that took a lot of the elements from the wider canon, but especially 200x cartoon (like Randor/Keldor).

I would have Keldor and Randor fighting alongside each other during Eternia's civil war, essentially over the old ways (furry pants and magic!) versus the new (toy friendly Battle Ram!). That way you can have, say, Man at Arms and TrapJaw as lieutenants and so many other elements introduced without wasting time.

Keldor is presumed fatally wounded and only survives after being resurrected by Evil Lyn, her eyes on power. Meanwhile Randor has ascended to the throne by tentively uniting tradition and science with different tribes all across Eternia (introduce Beast Man and Mer-Man for instance here if you like), but also by marrying Marla, a tribeswoman who gives him a son.

Keldor knows a frontal assault won't cut it and still has people inside the palace. He becomes a terrorist, building up an insurgency over time through tribes who don't subscribe to the Randor doctrine. The likes of TrapJaw and Tri-Klops give him access to stolen modern weaponry alongside his studying of the dark arts he originally fought against.

During all this Adam has been dicking about as per. Teela is his guardian and both find their destiny is linked to that old Castle...

The clear Phoenix isn't made by FT. They allowed someone they know to make a limited amount of copies. There's no after-sales on it as it's not a FT product.

Phoenix is a beautiful figure and a worthy addition to any collection no matter if you collect MP/3P or not

FYI Toyhax have upped their gun game with their new injection-moulded painted gats with optional handle positions in the Revamped Armoury
    Screen Shot 2020-11-18 at 20.49.56.png

I've gone for some Springer's with the attach myself option as there's a third near mid-point UZI-ish post mounting point on the Medium and Large versions, granted it's the usual $11 shipping with 3D items but I was hankering for the re-stocked ER OP set for his trailer too anyway!
If they're as good as they look in-hand, this could get EXPENSIVE!!!

Very pleased by everyone's Runabout news! Turns out I paid for mine in full (I'd forgotten), hence no invoice, I'm just waiting on a despatch notice :D  Figured we wouldn't see him before New Year!

Oh, and it's not my wheelhouse BUT they've just dropped the "Monster" set for Dead Prime, including some inspired by "Dark Awakening" options on the detailing, and a forearm minigun!

I thought it was a custom that FT were producing as limited, but because of the custom there was this odd customer service quirk. Didn't realise someone else was manufacturing it.

Looking like folks will get an actual gun for Sunny in due course then?

Ooh god... I’m in a state of mind where buying a £50 Cobi Sherman tank seems reasonable. Contrary to most logical assumptions, I am not drunk. I am simply giddy with tank documentaries. Imagine how many cool photos I could take of a Sherman with TFs... might do that anyway with the tanks I have.
