Not much to this, a while back I posted a combiner configuration using the Siege Powerdashers in the fan-modes and appreciation threads, but the way i did it made the combiner lack a head. this boy here I made the head(s)! made two because I don't know which one I like more, I'm leaning towards the one on the right. The one on the left is made from a CW Defensor head cut up and glued back together with an SS 07 jazz weapon as a head visor thing The head on the right is parts of TR Blackshadow's titan master, and the arms from a Windblade titan master (the ears)glued around a 5mm tube/port I cut off a Construct-Bots part. (the construct-bots sets are the best friggin kit-bash fodder) to finish them off you need some parts from Zetar, the drill for the Defensor head, and the silver tube and the drill for the Blackshadow head. I might still add some paint from here, but they are 99% done other than that. small update: So first here's the paint update. I made the ears metallic blue and picked out the mouth in a black line to try and tie in what Zetar has going on with his head as well as the same blue as eyeshadow to try and mimic what Cromar has got going on with his heavy black eyeshadow. I know I still want to add some yellow and red somewhere too I'm just not sure where, any thoughts? Was thinking about just straight up mimicking Cromar's red nose and yellow brow.
Right looks the best. The Left one could be useful later for some kind of ninjabot. Interesting project you have here. Construct bots as custom parts ftw
I don't see any Construct-Bots parts here but the one on the right definitely fits better. I really like the idea behind Sensei Defensor but his head is definitely too big. And Sky Shadow's aesthetiques match the Powerdashers way better. OR give Sky Shadow's head the hat
That looks like the (modified) shield of Bayverse Jazz'es shield-gun to me. But don't ask me from which toy of this character.
You are correct about the Bayverse Jazz shield on the left (Defensor) one. The one on the right (Black Shadow) has the Construct Bots part.
I love the Jazz-weapon hat. Very distinct aesthetic that you don't see in TFs very much - kung fu movies!
lol let me clear this up with a picture of the back of the head real quick. I took a construct parts parts and super-glued the titan master parts around it. (I've also started paint if you look at the ears silver base coat for for metallic blue to match what Zetar has going on with his cheeks.) haha thanks. I was just looking for something to mount the drill on that looked cool and I had a spare SS jazz that had broken, so I cannibalized the gun/shield and just went from there. though I've decided on the Blackshadow head to finish, so I don't know what I'm doing with Sensei Defensor anymore.
maybe? I have no idea what I would use this for outside of this. I'm not usually really big on custom projects. I'll make an accessory here or there or add a paint app or two but nothing too crazy. the most extensive things I've done to date have been a UW Menasor arm gauntlet things (for a toon accurate combined mode) and a CW Medix (that still needs a head...) which is mostly a parts swap and a little paint.
You could put it on a CW Motorcycle mold and paint it like TFA Prowl or you could put it on one of those RiD2015 Drifts and paint it red and silver. The TFA Prowl would be CHUG ish (Maybe as Yoketron?) and the Drift one could be an original ninja bot.
That's how I began. Maybe you could try yourself on a bigger challenge I'd really like to see it. Maybe just give a combiner or Leader class figure some paintapps to make it look more like a samurai and add this head. I guess it'd still be too big The combiner heads might even have trouble scaling with / fitting on Leader class figures.
I try to stay away from bigger projects specifically because I can never finish anything. I have so many ambitious projects that I've prepared for and spent money on and then after a while put it down and just lost all interest. I stick with smaller things like accessories or minor mods and paint application just to make sure I actually finish them. I mean hell, my Medix literally only requires a head with a touch of paint, easiest thing I can do, and I haven't been bothered to do that for... (checks Medix thread) Three years...
So here I have a paint update and a bunch of hats. The hats are admittedly mostly just a bit of fun (because 5mm hole on top his head), but also seriously debating the original drill hat using the Powerdasher parts, some of them are real contenders for permanent hat I think. So first here's the paint update. Was thinking about just straight up mimicking Cromar's red nose and yellow brow. and now for dumb hats!!! basic one to start off with, the one you've already seen. currently the default permanent hat. Siege Mirage Canon Siege Mirage rifle Prime Kup canon Zetal drill hat. Prime Bulkhead meat tenderizer. (lol its got a kind of pompadour thing going on... i mean they all do but this one really sells it. lol) CW rook claw thingy. construst bots blitzwing gun i think? facing forward i would cut off the clip, facing backwards i would cut off the stock and mount the drill. construst bots thruster POTP slag gun CW flamethrower Titans Return Scourge gun Earthrise Nullray booster off a KO OS legends Powerglide, facing the other way i could mount the drill on the back. This axe one would be a permanent hat that i would stick the drill onto in whichever orientation it ends up facing. (im thinking the opposite way the image shows.
I really like both SIEGE Mirage options but I'd leave the drill on both ways. And the rifle needs to be black. The pompadour looks hilarious. But kind of works, too. For the other black rifles they all kind of remind me of AoE Lockdown. And the axe has some charme, too. But I'm somehow not sure about that one.
I hereby dub him "Headcannon." (Honestly, I really dig the idea that he can swap out different weapons for different situations.)
