Mattel doesn’t have the license to do DC action figures anymore. That’s split between McFarlane Toys and Spinmaster. Besides, a one-off transforming toy could likely fall under a different licensing category than regular action figures or small scale die cast vehicles.

As a self avowed Crossover junky...I have a complete Star wars TF XOver collection just missing Ahsoka..Near complete Marvel Crossover collection and all the new ones..

I have to say...This looks Terrible to me. Hopefully we see more and my opinion changes..But I dislike the colors, and The bot mode is all sorts of funky looking..and NOT in the old Marvel crossover funky..Like..this is REAL funky to me.

Not a fan of the box either. I know it has some nostalgia for some, but that box is not something Id like to display..Id rather it be done like the last few Xovers G1 style box.

 

Yep, and the two side panels that fold out from his lower back. They were able to redo most of the bot mode but couldn't come up with a way to change up how this panels got out of the way for the old one.

Which is fine. SS Jetfire's alt-mode is FANTASTIC even with the bot mode hanging off the bottom. And since the alts are really want to attract buyers from outside the usual TF fandom, it's a good figure to form the foundation.

 

I like how the design proves a large, long jet doesn't have to be an 'underside' Transformer, like Silverbolt has always been.

 

It certainly looks better than any official silverbolt we've ever gotten

But what do I know, I've been using rotf stratosphere as my stand in movie Silverbolt (even debated just calling it Superion based on the size, kinda like how TFP did Predaking)

 

Fun fact: Iceman is a trained accountant. Perhaps this is an homage? ;p

 

Also, apparently, Ultimate X-Spanse is a remold of Studio Series Jetfire. Fun fact.
