Spoiler OOOOHHHH ok, yeah I remember that part but was confused when @Maximus Danz said that there was a time jump in Season 3 and 4. I did forget that they had Ahsoka find Sabine to tell her it is time to go find Ezra. Need to rewatch that part again and yeah I so need an Endor Rex!!!
Only pre-ordered Gideon, he is the only must-have of that wave for me, need to start being more selective
I only ordered Ahsoka and she hasn't shipped yet. I actually ordered her on day one and that one was cancelled on me... then I was able to reorder her but that order hasn't shipped yet. It was supposed to ship recently but then I got a delayed notice and the ship date doesn't seem to have updated.
Spoiler I don't think he really is. At the end of Rex's Wookiepedia article, he says that Filoni really thinks he is Nik Sant, but then "Filoni revealed in an interview with IGN he ultimately chose to not canonize the theory because he felt that laying down an already established character prior to his coming to Star Wars wasn't correct, adding that Rex could have been present at Endor and not be Sant, even though some fans could choose to believe that Rex and Sant are the same individual while other choose to not do so."
Eh, that always sounded like he was backpedaling on it just enough so that the "hardcore fans" didn't blow a gasket. Frankly, if he is, it gives the "old guy" some character and back story... considering that none exists canonically.
Dark Rey is legit surreal. Everyone's obsessing over Mando and Clone Wars and the OT and PT and even Rebels, but then there's this lone figure from the Sequels and it's like "Who's that? Oh yeeeeah I remember now... what do you mean it was only last year?!"
I will say that... I've never bought a figure of Rey because I dislike her character... but I'm buying the evil version.
I think it’s more to do wth Filoni’s utter respect for previous Star Wars and not wanting to retcon or overwrite previous characters and concepts. He notably tried to temper a lot of the more controversial ideas Lucas insisted for Clone Wars, such as Grievous wanting to have been a Jedi and augmenting himself, and the Mandalorian being a pacifist people. Grievous was left ambiguous, leaving it unclear if he really did turn himself into a cyborg, or if he merely chose that body. (the statues in his lair have cybernetic limbs and parts placed onto existing stone, implying Grievous maybe simply be trying to convince himself that being a cyborg was his choice) And of course The Mandalorian is basically one long apology letter for the whole “let’s take this warrior race famous for being a war-loving race of warriors and make them pacifists” thing. Filoni isn’t the kind of guy with the ego to “undo” other people’s work. If he says it’s Sant, I genuinely believe it’s more out of respect for whomever invented that character rather than upsetting some niche group of Sant fans. Of course it could also be because he has his own plans and story for Rex... I don’t even know why she’s being made, unless Dark Side characters are just that popular.
Well, if he does continue Rex's story... I'd love to see an animated series that takes place after RotJ and I'd love to see both Rex and Ahsoka meet Luke and Leia. I think it would be really awesome if two of the people who knew Anakin best before his fall got to meet his children.
100% i mean Dark Side, Sith, whatever evil force user i'll take them all. there are a lot that i need made
Got Endor Luke today from Pulse. Very glad with the figure, looks great, and kills 2 birds with one stone (Throne room Luke, Endor Luke). I'm sure some people won't be happy with it and want a new Luke for the throne room, but this is fine for me. The helmet was so afixed I wasn't sure how to remove it until I saw a video, and with a little force (no pun intended), it came right off. My order from Gamestop is sure taking it's sweet time, Jedi Revan and Darth Nihilus.
Apologies if this has been asked before and I just missed it. But in looking at the pics on BBTS, does this Asaj Ventris look a bit more "Live Action" than we would expect from Clone Wars, either flavor?
Yes, That's the point. The Black Series takes the animated characters and makes them look like they would fit in in the live-action world, They did this with all the Rebels characters, and every clone with a removable helmet looks like Temuera Morrison for that reason.
