Especially since the wheel wells cover 80% of the tires in alt mode anyway so thickness should not be an issue.
The use of plastic tyres was vindicated by Hound using folding wheels, impossible with rubber, ‘nuff said
Nifty feature (like, first ever) overshadow by Hound’s materials. What’s taking TT so long to reissue it properly? I really do miss it, it is a beautiful figure!
I honestly almost forgot about those. That was a brilliant move with Hound. We did at least have somewhat a secondhand confirmation from Phamduc. Needless to say i'm a fellow collector restless waiting for it as well, haha.
Their factories or maybe subcontracted ones need to be prepped etc. With all the products being released, makes me wonder how they can produce all these. Though it is surprising that LioConvoy got a second release on a very short interval unless those were left overs because of the beerbug breaking the supply/distribution chain.
While I agree with you, I'm going to play the devil's advocate and say that the tires still could've been rubber. It just wouldn't be practical.
I dunno, it had a separate release date with preorder discounts and everything. It was hella weird as the first run hadn't even sold out yet at places like Amazon.
Not idle speculation of course but based on amiami's PO window. After I received my LioConvoy from them just before everything went to heck because of the beerbug, amiami put out another PO, around May or June 2020. At PO price rates.
Checked back in for updates, saw the new photos and that side profile comparison. Neat, and the photos are good. Buuut... And I DO hate to say this, I'm still not in. There's just too many design compromises and alterations that add up and prevent me from seeing this as a desirable representation of Arcee. However, the backpack is not one of those things that bothers me. That said, if it came up on a sale or clearance I think I'd be tempted. Cheers and kudos to everyone who's on board though.
