Sort of related note....Any of you guys disinfect your packages before either bringing it inside the house or opening it?

Just sprayed the heck outta the box with alcohol and did 3 passes of UV light with the FT box.

Curious what other's do now......

 

This virus doesnt survive on such surfaces for long. Its implausible that you will be infected from mail postage.

As to answer your question: No and my regular shipments include at least 4 packages from worldwide every month.

 

I don't think anyone has said that it is not worth the original MSRP. It was definitely a shock for some that were expecting 3P to stay affordable until the day they die, but for the most part it was really not a huge deal until the aftermarket prices started...

Those 2 have actual competition tho. And the other options can be arguably better depending on who you ask (I really don't think they are all that).

I mean, if you are a FT "fan" that's gotta catch them all, then yeah, it sucks. But Thomas is just HOT. Everybody and their mothers want one because is the definitive Astro. And the only one as far as I'm concerned.

Apache is hitting $400-$500 USD MISB now. Crazy prices.

Problem as far as I see it, is that this 'hobby' has grown to have more scalpers than it does fans nowdays.....

Just to share. While most studies and news state that the virus cannot be spread thru mailed packages, there are also accounts of individuals and families who never went out during the lockdown but have contracted the virus nonetheless. The only external factor that was introduced to the home were packages being received.

Since the common consensus is that the virus lifespan is limited at best on cardboard (24hrs last i checked) and longer on plastic (3 days), i can only assume the package could potentially be re-infected by the delivery man upon dropping it off the doorstep given the above. And since i'm such an eager bastard, i'm potentially more prone to it given the window above. (24hr wait times is murder....3 days is just plain inhumane....).

Anyway.....just wanted to share and hopefully learn from others, any best practice that they do in order to ensure the community is healthy and thriving.

Guys. Nooo.

These are Transformers. They’re not PVC figures with a plastic window. For all you guys may know, they may have QC issues. Lots of moving parts on TF’s.

Missing or broken pieces, paint chips/paint smudges, etc. anything. I at least hope y’all took them out of the box once and inspected? Because otherwise they may be worth zero :/ TF’s are the only things I only buy “new” at retailers.

I would think you're better off just washing your hands after handling the mail than disinfecting the packages.
