So LEGO left me hangin' for an extra day. I got my cancellation notice today around lunchtime. That's the second time I've had something cancelled, although this time I was half expecting it. The first time was a GWP which delayed a larger order while they tried to get more stock. Eventually, they gave up and cancelled the gift. Anyway, what a strange year.
It was. Sad to say, I ended up going the eBay route after I got the news. I'm hoping to be better prepared for Friday night's VIP event since I would like to pick up the Charles Dickens holiday gift without too much hassle.
I'm ready for Friday but the sets I want to order are showing as temporarily out of stock (Elf Club House) or out of stock (Christmas Wreath). Nothing else I want to get in order to get the GWP. In years past the holiday sets were always readily available during Black Friday promos. Hopefully they come back. I am really surprised to hear about LEGO canceling people's orders, never heard of that happening before. That's such a bummer, I've always relied on that "whew, got my order in, all set" feeling when ordering direct from LEGO.
Yeah, same here... I'm not feeling so enthusiastic for the Charles Dickens set. I also refuse to ever buy eBay just because I just reward those asses who took one that I could have got. The wreath actually went out twice now. I was tempting fate by hoping that the AT-AT would be in stock for this event, but looks like that sold out. *sigh* I know I should just do what I have been doing which is buy it when it comes up since they seem to sell out way too fast these days.
I hope the Elf Club House comes back in stock too. That was one I put off when it first popped up, thinking that I'd be able to pick it up around now. I'm also tempting fate with a few other sets that I want to pick up as gifts, including the new Sesame Street Ideas set.

the mechs look pretty much how i thought not a fan of the launcher on the front of the hell charger. it also looks closer to the camaro speed champions build than the charger....i kinda wish it a rebuild of that. still looks alright but i was hoping for more out of it. i want to see more of the flame pieces attached to it though
Ooof, yeah.... how can they do all those great-looking 8-wide Speed Champion sets and those larger model sets and then drop the ball so badly on a simple black muscle car like the Ghost Rider car? That's a real bummer. They could have just taken a Speed Champions design, put some flames on it, and called it a day...
yup that's what i've been saying since it was first announced. i was hoping it was a rebuild of the speed champion set but with flames and other detail changes. it doesn't even look like a charger. ghost rider doesn't even have drag wheels on his charger so i have no idea why the rear is so lifted. there's some things i like but some i don't. maybe i'll get a second charger speed champion set and frankenstien it.
Ah... but... wtf??!?! I know it's a Juniors set, but they have better stuff for Sandman in the head department! Proof of my claim that Lego is slowly bombing itself back into the Stone Age as far as Doc Ock arms go. Like, seven years ago we had those wonderful ratchets and now we have these shitty ball jointed... is that a bar hinge? F***ing bar hinges and vents! F***ing awful! But Mysterio and the drone looks good. Spidey has arm printing but a terrible red torso. I choose to ignore that predatory pile of shit in the corner with that dreadful fanfic queen. One: that car is sh*t. Two: That Ghost Rider head is going to yield so many f***ing Terminators.
