Thats too much - I got siege astrotrain for 17.99 at ROSS, and its the exact same figure...

    See if they'll price match?

I got the Siege Astrotrain for the price you paid. Ultra Magnus, Spring, Cog and Siege Starscream as well. I think $30 is fine for Earthrise Astrotrain if you can't find a Siege version though.

I asked if they could price match as I was going to pick up another and they wouldn't.

I would say keep trying in your area if you have multiple Ross locations. Stock in my area really varies by location. I'd also say to look online if a lot of driving is going to be involved. If you factor in gas for a few unsuccessful trips it starts to add up to reg price online (assuming you get free shipping).

I was thrilled to get Magnus and Astrotrain. The rest are nice, but Magnus in particular is the one that I really wanted.

Yes. Toylines only get one titan each, minus the aptly named Titans Return, which had two.

You guys think the seas of grapples affected distribution with wave 3 voyagers?
Pushing back quintesson judge to wave 3 was one of the worse ideas hasbro has ever had

Agreed. Every line has a wave 1 shelfwarmer. Siege gave us 2 in Megatron and Shockwave.

I don't know that moving up Quint would have helped a lot. It put more Starscreams out there and I'm not convinced that he'll be a hit with the kiddies. I think the bigger error was doing 2 Grapples to 1 Starscream in Wave 1. Maybe they expected low demand due to Siege Starscream's recent release?

I do feel like we got shortchanged in Earthrise between Siege's Wave 5, the disruption of the supply chain due to 'rona, and I suspect the need to end the toyline in 2020 so they could do the anniversaries of Beast Wars and TFTM in 2021.

In my part of the world, the local TRU only had per store 3 Optimus', 1 Astrotrain, a lot of Soundbarriers (a loooooooooot) then boooooom! The beerbug! Again, the clusterfk irony was that online, couldn't get a Soundbarrier until the middle of the year (around June). No Grapples at all. None! Had to depend on amiami and other online sellers. to find Grapple.:cry

Probably because wave 1 was in distribution for much longer than it should have been. Stores stock up for the rest of the year and supply chain says okay here’s more of the January product.

It's also due to the frustrating decision to start packing Voyagers 3 to a case - 2 Grapples for every 1 Starscream means a whole lot of leftover Grapples.

Grapple definitely didn't hit my area that hard. I think I've only ever seen one or two Grapples in store since release.
