Siege Magnus is IMO one of the best figures in WFC, and is a steal at $35.99 on Amazon. I love both the full armor setup and the white inner bot. Honestly, I don't find the gaps to be any big deal at all, but hey, that's just me.

Netflix Magnus.....as much as I love the mold, I feel they really dropped the ball with the deco. Probably the worst looking battle damage in the whole WFC line. He looks like someone left him to close to a lit stove burner, or somehow found a toaster big enough to drop him in. Other Netflix figures have a similar style deco, but it looks worse on Magnus. The pink Rung isn't great either. The only good things about the set for me are the blast effects and energon cubes.

Kingdom Magnus.....as I said in an earlier post, it's more of a wait and see than a must buy for me. If he turns out well, yeah I want him - big Ultra Magnus fan and all. If not, no big thing because I love Siege Magnus so much I'll be satisfied with just having him.

Not sure if that helps. With the first two, I guess it depends on how much you want that pink Rung.

So far im leaning towards siege magnus thanks to everyones comments.

I dont plan on getting any of the other netflix figures so i guess netflix magnus would stand out too much.

I can try and find someone willing to sell pink rung separately i guess.

yeah i dont have multiple shelves like that. I would have done all 3 if i was magnus fanboy.

I'm a big fan of the Siege version (and just posted a bunch of images a few pages back):
War for Cybertron: Siege Appreciation Thread

This is a figure that truly benefits from the filler kit, but on top of that I customized a Smashdown to give him a proper hammer.

The Netflix version looks bad to me, not a fan of the dirty look they did.

Earthrise is a gamble to what they'll do, but they'd have to pull a miracle to make me consider it, when it comes to the remolds and rehashes of the same characters. So far, they only managed to do it with Prime. And he's not one that truly needs a "earth" version all that much for me.

So if you're looking at lower than MSRP that includes the gap filler, that's something that I'd jump on. Heck I got myself a spare super cheap (liquidation at 9$CAD) is case something was to break on mine.

I'm not a fan of the "tall" UM, so for me the leg extensions are not something that I would go for. I prefer him at his real size which is still huge compared to the deluxes. He looks bulky and strong/armoured as heck... extra long legs looks off to me, as it would be a weak point.

Sure. My purpose was that I wanted UM to scale better with TR Sixshot and G-Creation Dinos. Also wanted MMC Dicamus to be shorter than UM which the regular Siege UM was looking eye to eye with.

So I went with the OS one for better proportions IMO. I still have the original Siege UM. Depending on the ER version I may part with the siege one if we get a different cab. Can always extend that one and use fillers if they follow the same pattern as Siege UM.

It is nice we have options and all of our tastes/requirements can be met.

    Absolutely...

While my biggest pet peeve is that some kits shouldn't be "needed" especially the gap fillers(but also the basic weapons that should be included), when I look at all the old figures that were so much better for gaps (and weapons/accessories), it's really sad that we have to almost double the "price" of a figure due to getting such fillers kit (and the basic weapons/accessories).

But the "extras" kits and such, that are more about optional, add-ons, extra weapons, fancy stuff, etc. to customize them are great.

Thanks, I already have the Ratchet Studio ROS-015 kit to fill all of Ultra Magnus' gaps.

I don't like to use height extenders if they inhibit transformation into vehicle mode, but I really like what the kit does to modify the hollow black guns into truly cool, full-looking handheld blasters.

Agree with this as I look at my older generation figures such as Drift to see how hollow free he is to the stuff after it....it's like uh ok.

Tried to the Go Better / GX Studio Shockwave kit:
    sw.jpg

Adds a sight and bigger handle. After getting more GX kits, there seems to be 2 tiers: perfectly smooth and one step below with very fine print lines. This kit is the latter although the clear viewfinder is flawless without any printing artifact. The handle is still small for my hands but my son can hold it better.

Interesting kit, the colours (purple) appears to match near perfectly.

Side note.. as anyone figured out an easy way to take that hose off without cutting it off. If there's one thing about this figure that I wish they had done, would be to make that hose removable.

Yeah, it's about a 95% match. In certain angles / lighting, then it looks like it matches perfect.

To get at the hose, you need a #0 and #00 Philips screwdrivers. If the tips are pointy (vast majority are), then use very low grit sanding paper to sand off the point to avoid stripping screw heads. Remove 4 #0 and 1 #00 screws from the back and pelvis. Now you can access the hose anchor. If you really want it removable, then snip snip. The rubber hose has enough friction to stay in place OK for posing.
