Yeah, I figured as such. I guess for the time being the closest we'll get is Kenner designing Bat Primal to resemble Batman since it held the license to him at the time. Such is life....

I agree with you on Smokey and the Bandit. I never watched the show, but I would like to see more crossovers that fit in with the WFC scale/theme. With that being said, Id like to see crossovers similar to BTTF that probably happened in small rural towns in the 80s. Stuff like Smokey and the Bandit, A-Team, Knight Rider, Starsky and Hutch, and The Dukes of Hazzard (pre-cancel culture) Hell Ill even take a Herbie the Love Bug easy Bumblebee repaint. I feel these shows better represent nostalgia from a real world perspective than some silly sci-fi stuff. In my Transformers fiction, I like Transformers to be the sci-fi in a normal world set in the 80's. Ghostbusters was okay, but x-men is pushing it a little bit. I wouldnt want a turtle van crossover either even though I love TMNT. It just enters the gimmicky territory and detracts from the primary franchise. (Transformers) Thats how I feel about x-men.

    First thought: haha what

Second thought: one step closer to a new Death's Head figure?

For retools? They were not bad. Ectotron really was the best, but I felt the core robot was slightly "undersized" for the alt mode. Gigawatt really feels like they put too big a car on the Sideswipe body, with the Delorean front being this huge plank of a chest with nothing really done to combat that fact. He looks really dumpy in robot mode because of that, even though the actual toy is quite solid. Also it was a massive wasted opportunity to not resculpt his left arm with a watch.

So far the Crossovers to me have felt like really good kitbashes than proper retools straight from Hasbro, and none of them have made me think "wow that's so cool I just have to own it!" They're decent retools of toys I already own that are far more cohesive than the crossover versions. The fatc that are they are retools, IMO, is the biggest drawback, as they're forced to "cut up" the crossover cars to fit around a pre-existing shell, rather than draw a proper silhouette from the available shapes of those alt modes. I personally would've loved if Gigawatt's rear end ended up on his back, the exhaust towers turned into a jetpack, rather than just putting those on the backs of the legs with no fanfare because that's where the rear of the car ended up on Sideswipe. The creativity just wasn't there despite the opportunity with the source material.

Okay... but, there are people who like Maverick.

And "hollow" is meaningless. People called Siege Impactor hollow and that was a great figure.

You're not giving us any new info that people haven't used to describe any number of figures they didn't personally like. Remember the meltdown people had over Kingdom Rattrap's size?

I appreciate leaks, but this isn't helpful info. It'd be like if I saw Endgame early and leaked "the ending sucks!" because I'm a big Iron Man fan.

Fair points, but after seeing Maverick and the train wreck that figure is, I'd say that Ectotron and Gigawatt being retools was to their benefit comparitively

I considered tracking down the Grey Hulk back in 2016 to make a body for the Hori-Bull Titanmaster

Pfft. "Will there be a comic", is the most obviously obvious question... it's Marvel, it's X-Men. It's TF crossover stuff just like GB and BTTF. You think? :lolol

Silverbolt was a solid mold though, not the best but still solid, Maverick on the other hand is crap. I'd still say Maverick would be lower in that instance

There should be a Hulk transformer that converts to a green tractor trailer truck, similar to Optimus Prime’s vehicle mode.

So from the looks of it. We\'ll going to get a X-Men Plane transformer.

Considering the last Xover we got from a CW mold was Ectotron, I'm not sure that's the dig you think it is.

Putting my money on an ER Cyclonus retool...

That said tho, I would be stoked if it was an all new mold, maybe even the first female collab TF? As long as it’s more Gigawatt/Ectotron and less Maverick, that guy got the shaft mold/cost-wise. Hollow af.

Also, really hope they don’t have this transform into any “known” X-Man, i.e. Wolverine/Cyclops etc, we got enough of those back in the day, and it just looks really goofy...
