Huh, nice.  The picture they used is more based on the 90\'s animated series Blackbird, so the wings are different from a Sr71 I think.  Still it\'ll be nice to get a Blackbird that\'s not a Bayformers robot design.  No offense, Bayformers Jetfire just never seemed to do it for me.

 

I thought marvel transformers were pretty good for the most part.

 

Im hoping this goes better then the back to the future walmart exclusive and im just hoping it isnt exclusive in general since this looks like it could be fun to play with.

 

Using the Cyclonus mold, but moving the cockpit forward would be a challenge.

 

Please be a decepticon infiltrating the x-men, we need a decepticon collaborative fig and it would be a cool story.

 

Nah they could do the Razorcrest as an original character. Would sell like hot cakes.

 

I didn't expect a Blackbird TF, but I hope they do a good job. I guess that means we could get the Ghost Rider bikes and car as TFs, too. Not to mention the Punisher's van (perhaps a remold of Ironhide) and the Quin-jets.

I also hope they do the Blackbird from the original X-Men cartoon. That would make it a must-have for me, depending on the execution. (And speaking of cartoons, fingers crossed for a Thundertank Transformer ),


I hope they stick to the robot mode bring an all-new character. I find I like the idea of the Collaboration Transformers having their own identities. (For example, I definitely don't want a potential new Star Wars X-Wing TF that also tries to turn into an orange Luke Skywalker....thing).

 

This is curious. I wonder how the story, if any is set, will work out.

And a lot of popular ideas deal with the Blackbird jet being a Transformer, which is a valid concept, but I also think maybe Sentinel tech may be involved.

 

Biggest challenge is how to get that shaped cockpit into the chest (I’m guessing it collapses down similar to Classics Cyclonus). It could also be molded as a removable piece to be a sword or shield or something.

Considering Ectotron was a janky reshell, Gigawatt looks like he's wearing a mascot costume without the head, and Maverick is hot ass, I'm genuinely scared how this could get any lower.

 

If it's a new character any guesses at what their name might be?

 

I'm probably not going to get the toy but from a fiction perspective this is the first of these crossovers that would genuinely interest me. IDW occassionally produces some Disney content, so them making a limited run around this same as the previous two crossovers wouldn't be a stretch. And I'm fascinated by the idea of Magneto being able to absolutely mop the floor with every single Transformer, Autobot or Decepticon... except Windcharger. And since Windcharger never gets to do anything cool anywhere else, this is basically an opportunity for him to strut his stuff handed to the creative team on a silver platter.

 

Could be a remold/repaint of Snapdragon?

My guess the headsculpt will be Xavier's Dawn of X Cerebro helmet
