that's actually a really good point. I imagine someone should set about finding a way to get these effects and clean them up much in the same way that they recovered, cleaned and produced the soundtracks

Oh yeah! It's been a while since I've had time to animate, but I suddenly got a dearth of time on my hands, so I instantly jumped behind the camera.

The only part I was really unhappy with was the arm stutter at the end, I didn't realize I messed up a few frames until the editing room, and by then it was too late.

It's not often I get to use a title from Doctor Who, but here we are: The Ark in Space!

Thanks again to @Bot Sculptor for the wonderful Ark and Cybertron models. Decepticon ship to be edited in at a later date!

Amazing as always. Just curious, how long does one of this GIFs normally take for you to make?

I had to watch that twice because I can't believe how much work you had to put into it. Awesome job!!!!

Yeah I have to agree, the Trailbreaker animation is great! I just keep on focusing on it.

Since it all involves existing assets (both the interiors and exteriors of the ships). Do you have any plans to recreate the big deleted section that happens between blast off and the asteroids?

    Thanks!
It varies so much depending on the actual content there's no easy answer. Some shots can be filmed, edited and finished in an afternoon while some (esp ones with many characters) can take days...
Sort of. I realised a long time ago that these figures have such reflective surfaces that bright backgrounds such as greenscreen are very difficult to remove altogether. However having a colour backdrop does help separate the elements, so I have a handful of cardboard sheets in subtle colours that I photograph them against.
Unrelated, but for these space shots I had a blue-tinted light as well as my normal one, to give a feel of being out in that total sea of blue (best seen catching the underside of Cybertron).
I'm glad it came out ok, because the frames themselves look so different from one another it felt like they might not flow together too well! There were some quite extreme angles involved (all from the original toon of course).
Yes, I would like to include the deleted scenes in my version of Episode One :thumb
