The color layout in robot mode is really a mess and no purple face is disappointing too. I thought his face was a slight puprle but I guess not.

Can we just get proper update to his G2 design? We've had so many half hearted homages to it that it is obviously popular enough to simply get a new figure.

The colors look amazing and work really well on this thicc-@$$ chonk of plastic.

That's about where the positives end for me... I don't like how big the tank is, I don't think like the head (yikes), and the sword might have to be straight-up cut off. (I really hate the blade. Shame it's glued as well as screwed in place.) The transformation makes me cringe, the plastic creaks and makes noise and feels like it's going to crack, break, or at least stress.

I love how this looks, overall, but I think Siege Megatron is the better figure/use of the mold/engineering.

 

I think the original had a better head sculpt.

Seen some reports in zing! Stores. I love the idea of him but from what I’ve seen of that mold it doesn’t quite sell it from me. The clincher was seeing it on a shelf but not being able to see it through the brown box... but I may change my mind later

Yeah, I dislike the Selects-style boxes. I like to see what I'm buying.

 

After more time with this guy, I have to say, he's still not doing it for me. Visually, he's fine, but his plastic feels so KO-like in spots and the noises it makes sends chills down my spine. The slot where his head cover tabs into the left tank tread is already stressed from inserting/removing the tab for transformation. I'm glad the tab is fine, that would suck if anything happened to it, but I'm not pleased with the feel of this figure.

Siege was more dense feeling, tightly packed. I think by making this Megatron bigger, they hollowed him out in spots and he's worse for it.

 

Still holding out hope that Hasbro will finally make a proper G2 Megatron.

Kingdom is obviously out....so maybe in the next line.  

 

I'd be happier if they had done something to make him look like the original. The shoulder cannon, at least. He's so close, visually.
