Finally snagged one, got him into jet mode without too much hassle, but going back to robot, I dunno. Is there some obvious-to-everyone-but-me step I'm missing, his head is wedged up tight against that fake cockpit piece and everyone's pics here look like there should be a gap. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Blitzwing makes really good cannon fodder for Lemontree Optimus! I think the scale is pretty good too. I like OP being a bit smaller than but more powerful than the average decepticon.

Getting the head back out when going back to robot mode is definitely tricky. Took me several tries to get the combination of moves right.

I think this made me seriously consider buying Lemontree prime. His poses look so cool and dynamic and is a nice small figure I can carry around. Btw I love your photos on IG too

Thank you! I’ll post a couple more from IG in the lemontree thread. It’s a great figure but don’t pay a lot for it if you can avoid it.

I can’t believe they didn’t come up with a better way for the back pegs and chest piece to stay together without coming apart if you move the arms.

There should be a peg on the bottom of the neck assembly that tabs into the nosecone. Takes a bit of force to click in

Robot mode is really terrific; excellently captures the onscreen model in toy form. But I don't understand why the jet mode is so compromised, especially since it turns out it won't be retooled into the Cybertronian seekers. Could've been done a whole lot better.

But it was retooled into cybertronian seekers. The upcoming studio series Bumblebee movie starscream is a retool of this blitzwing figure.

Nope, it's a brand new sculpt that doesn't share any parts with Blitzwing. Multiple reviewers who got a hold of the figure early have confirmed this.

Wow that is absolutely crazy! I would have thought it was a heavy retool but I guess I am wrong. In that case I feel like the jet mode undercarriage on starscream should have been cleaner if not being limited by being a retool...

I mean, it's still limited by the design. The movie seekers have pretty BS transformations that basically make them for wings sticking out of a tiny little fuselage.

Yeah maybe it is just not possible to do it much better. I will probably still buy the figure because the robot mode is great.

I finally found the F-4 engine nozzles (black parts by blue tail fin) that BW should have, that ass-hole Starscream stole them!

Someone really needs to design and make upgrade pieces that fit over the lower legs that give Blitzwing the accurate “bell bottoms” look that he has in the movie. After owning this figure for several months now, the scrawny legs are pretty distracting.

I don't know if this movie screenshot has been posted previously but SS65 is more Cybertronian BW than Earth. His red shoulder pieces are different (matching SS72 Starscream) and his legs are movie accurate, so this figure is basically a hybrid BW.

The red pieces don’t match, though.

The ink wash I gave this figure has given it new life for me. I highly recommend anyone try it out!

Total shite. In the movie, his alt mode is VERY CLEARLY an F-4 Phantom. This is....some bastard chimera that is part F-16 and part god-knows-what. If you're going to make a character from a movie, then represent the f@#%ing character with some accuracy.
