Before I received Lemontree Optimus, I was sure that I'd never use the light up feature. I don't usually use light-up features in general, and getting the different sized batteries that every one of them seems to need is always annoying, plus in reviews it just looked like he had LED nipples, but in person it's actually a really dope effect and I will be using it often. Only thing that would make it better is if they could somehow refract the light up into his eyes, but that's probably impossible.

 

Oh dang it.... It's a tough one.... I love those beautiful cars... Soundwave's Mercedes, Lockdown's Lambo...Stinger's Pagani.... But I would say a tie between the Pagani Huarya and Sideswipe's Convertible Concept. I gotta say, Bay gave us some smexy and beautiful cars that we wish we could drive.

 

Stingers, look unpopular opinion but I think Pagani is underrated. I personally love them more than Lamborghinis.

 

You know what? I think I realized why the coloration of the MPMs (also SS) is off. Okay here’s an example:

MPM Barricade’s paint scheme is a bit off, no? It’s innacurate.


For some reason, he omits the purple found on his CGI render in the movie and replaces it with a weird blue, but do you know why?


It’s because it’s based off of the early promotional renders!


I believe that this is the same case for MPM Optimus as well. Look at that tiny head!


Also SS Blackout, whose colors are based off of this.


Just some interesting observations I had.

 

It's going to be epic to see these 2 together and fight. The fight that should have happened in Dark of the Moon.

 

In the comic it presumably happened offscreen and we only get to see the final outcome:

 

Gotta say, as much as I didn't like seeing Que get killed, I prefer him biting the dust over Dino (who is tied with Leadfoot as two of my favorite characters from the Bayverse and maybe overall in the franchise)

 

Whatever happened to, "Treat your elders with respect."

 

I'm going to have to say Wave 8. The triplets are just so fun and I really love SS49 Bumblebee. I originally hated him but he's grown on me so much in the past year. Soundwave is also really good.

 

Yup.... Dino was going to be killed two times...for no reason... I'm glad he survived in the final product.

 

What was the first time?

 

I dunno, to me Que was a much more interesting character than Dino, who was yet another "badass" killer autobot sports car. Que was something different at least, and I liked that he had a regular-ass 4-door sedan alt mode, aka something that could ACTUALLY BLEND IN. It would have been cool to see him use that staff of his, or maybe repair some stuff, unlike Ratchet who never repaired shit.

 

Dino is just Red Sideswipe. Change my mind.

Extremely excited about Dino. As someone who was brought into the fandom by the Bayverse, it still blows my mind that we're finally getting all these amazing figures from that series now. And my list of wants from the line is getting closer and closer to being complete! For me, the only major wants left are:
-ROTF Skids
-ROTF Mudflap
-ROTF Ice cream mode twins
-ROTF Fallen
-ROTF Jolt - possibly, will have to see how he turns out.
-BB Soundwave
