They usually do a few deals each day the week of, and everything that had been a daily deal offered again on Friday.

 

I believe they raise their prices on stuff nobody wants and that's been sitting there for 2 years, and then marks them down so it looks like they're on sale.

 

Didn't TF Source decrease their sale price even further on Black Friday than it had been during the week? I seem to recall a lot of pissed-off shoppers who though they had a great deal on Tuesday only to have an even better one show up on Friday. I guess it is a case of risking if those deals will sell-out or actually drop even lower on Friday. I was pretty sure that was TF Source last year.

Honesty reveal, I have ordered from TF Source in the past. Their Insecticon Malum Militia set has been a good deal and I got it earlier this summer. Since then, any sale I look at seems to go back up again the next day I check back.

 

I thought they just lumped all that 2 year old clearance priced stuff into an email labeled “awesome Black Friday sale” and just blast that out.

 

Nah. They do legit deals like $200 Pandinus and such too.

 

If you are referring to the card on the back of the small catalog, I think someone noted (possibly in the Target thread?) that YMMV on the coupon offer you get as there are different offers on different copies of the catalog. I don’t know if it’s “targeted” (sorry) or random as to which people get which offer.

 

Went to 3 Aldis in my area this morning to scope the $17.99 ER Deluxes. For those interested, all 3 stores were Wave 2. Two cases worth at each.

 

Guess that ad photo lived up to its promise...

I just bought an Earthrise Bluestreak from the Walgreens at Greenback and Sunrise in Citrus Heights for $14.99. They have a 25% sale, and a "Buy One, Get The Second 50% Off" sale, on certain toys. I left a Hound and a Red Alert. I saw a Refractor at another store. Also, not every Walgreens store I visited had these sales going on.

 

Were the two promotions combinable?

Does anyone know if Walgreens is good about letting you do return-rebuys to get a sale price on something you originally bought for full price? I've done it at Target a few times but never Walgreens.

 

FWIW I grabbed two last week myself. The blast effects are not weapon compatible, and are meant to plug into BW's rather sturdy display base. Can work ok for diorammas, but you may (or may not) want to cut off the pegs.
