Speaking of waves, what Studio Series Deluxe wave is your personal favorite?
For me, it's a three-way tie between Seven through Nine.

Mine is covered in crap paint and his very long smokestacks are snapped off, but you get the picture.

Deluxe wave 5. It's the closest I've come to owning an entire wave - Clunker Bee, Barricade, Sideswipe, and Crankcase (all but WWII Bee). All fun figures!

Damn that's gonna be hard for me to choose. Is there a site that has all figure apart of whatever wave?

I like the Evasion Optimus mold, its transformation is quite unique. The way the truck turns inside out and forms a very clean robot with almost no kibble(except for the arm panels) amazed me back when it came out.

He has all the articulation I want in a figure and poses fantastically. What would make it even better is if I have the rust version to be movie accurate.

    You're not wrong.
Oooh nice! I must have been off my baseline to not get that reference.
The one with bee and the arcees. Even WWII Crap Rod couldn't diminish the awesomeness of that bee and those three bikes and Soundwave is pretty cool too, if a bit limited.

RoTF leader Optimus is obviously a legendary figure. Easily the best Optimus figure to date. But I feel like everybody forgets about the old 2007 voyager. It’s a gem IMO. Simple, yet intuitive, and he’s pretty great considering that was there first shot at a voyager prime.
    upload_2020-11-14_18-19-5.jpeg
.... But my favorite Optimus figure has got to be, the SS 32 mold.
upload_2020-11-14_18-25-28.jpeg Jeez, where do I even start? The moment they released promo pics for this thing I knew I had to have it. This is honestly my definitive prime. Feels sturdy in hand, poses like a beast, the alt modes meh, but I still love it. SS-05 has nothing on this mold IMO.

The 2007 Optimus mold is a good toy, it just doesn't capture the look of movie Optimus. I have the Nest Global Alliance redeco and quite liked the size and the flip out driver gimmick.

SS-05 had two things going for it,the energon blades and the cleaner legs that was omitted on SS-32/44.

After searching try he SS wiki I must say wave 2 because I really like Lockdown & Stinger. Even til this day I fiddle around with them. Oh and Jazz for obvious reasons.

I have to also give a special shout out to wave 5 because Sideswipe & Barricade are awesome. I have to give a little credit to clunker b also because I heard that they fixed the quality control problems on him.

I don’t know if he wants to be named, last thing I wanna do is have people flood his inbox, but MASSIVE thanks to a fellow collector here who bought this from Ross and sent it to me (with full cost and shipping repayment)

seeing it so cheap really bummed me out since there are no Ross nearby and he came through.

    also this figure is gorgeous!

Wave 8 is my favorite, I’ve already talked about SS-49 a bunch, Soundwave and the Arcees are pretty good, and WWII Hot Rod is. . . not really accurate, but kinda fun. So far it’s the only deluxe wave I’ve completed. I’d probably put wave 5 at second place.
The deco on that version is pretty neat, I like that it includes the flames!
I have a lot of good memories of the 2007 mold, it was my first movie Optimus figure. My Dad got me the ROTF version shortly before the movie came out. It’s not super accurate but it’s a lot of fun!

The leg transformation on that figure is actually accurate to when he transforms in the NEST base in ROTF.

The chest for Dino is slightly asymmetrical as the team based his chest off this screenshot. D9FCD1CF-0FB2-4651-A9EF-44F67171CE26.jpeg

In regards to my favorite Prime mold, I still have to hand it to the RotF Leader mold. The Buster iteration in particular. The truck mode holds together like a rock, and his bot mode is just beautiful. Do I wish he had more articulation? Yes. But he's still amazing, and that's probably why I own three copies of that mold.

Ideally, a perfect Prime would be a mix of aspects of him and the MPM.

Deacon would be cool, but I don't mind if we don't get him. And I can deal with Berserker as Crankcase. Some isopropyl alcohol on that chest, and the red is gone. For Que, I'm not sure how to feel. I really really like his original deluxe, so an SS version would have to be a big improvement for me to want it.

Gonna have to say Wave 9 for me was the best. It’s the only Wave I bought every single figure of, including the Voyagers.

    Takara Striker Optimus Prime (DA-28)

Looking back when I used to have it, it truly was a fantastic iteration of that mold. I had the original mass release, the buster version, and the Striker version. I don't have them anymore, but here are a couple of pics from online:

Technically, I do have the original mass retail version, but it's in my kid's collection all combined up with the FWI Jetfire upgrade set!

Anyone selling or at least know where I can get an SS44 Leader Optimus for a decent price? I sold my SS32 Prime cuz I thought there was still a listing for 44 on Bbts, but ig that sold out
